| Bands You Saw At the Arena/RockGarden | |
i know its been done not too long ago, but the thread was sadly lost... i'm after names of bands that you saw (or know played) at 208 Newport Road in the years gone. Ideally, seeing as how theres so so many, the bigger the band the better... as there's only so many you can put in a history section without it looking cluttered. All help extremely appreciated, Gaz de l'arena x P.S, as ever - post Boro Euro match nonsense @ Needle-Damage, every Thursday at the Arena... its more leather bag than pig bag, but the beer is cheap and the music is even better. | |

No Les I didn't forget them, they were the main band actually, and everyone though it was going to be The Jam or Sham 69 or some other top band at the time. The stage was hidden with newspapers taped together, and they were bloody awful. I think someone mentioned them earlier. | |

That Oasis gig at the Arena can be compared to the Boro and Port Vale game at Hartlepool. If everyone who claimed that they were there, actually did go, there would've been thousands in the Arena that night. | |
