re: LUCKY MACCA

If you want exciting football go and support "the entertainers" up the road. Oh hang on, they're struggling at the moment as well. How about Man Utd or Arsenal then, they are entertaining, well apart from when they've had their dodgy spells this season. What about Norwich, they play good footbal, don't win much and will be playing Championship footy next year but still might get some flowing footy.

Instead of being knobjockeys and thinking you can predict the future, how about getting behind the club? When you are working in a supportive environment you tend to do your job better you know. You feel more able to express yourselves and have confidence to do stuff that you wouldn't if you were scared that your attempts were going to met with unfair criticism.

It's all positive thinking bulls**t isn't it? I thought I'd save you the bother of putting up the rediculoous answer and avoiding the actual question of why you call yourself a Middlesbrough supporter but can't extend that support to every individual involved in the club.

If you were able to put forward a decent, reasoned case for why you think Mac or any of the players aren't going to take the club forward then I'd listen to you, but when the best you can do is simply call someone "sh/te" then I'll not be convinced.

Roll out the Leeds and ginger arguments too you clowns.

Shackerooni Posted on 7/2 12:03

dooderooni Posted on 7/2 12:09
re: LUCKY MACCA

Even if I am arguing with a 'dickheaded figment of someones imagination' Shack then I'll willingly do it because, for whatever reason, there is a significant number of people who go to the match whos views echo those of the likes of ontherun and H_S.

It's like only having the Labour Party and The Monster Raving Loony Party contesting a General Election.

On one side you've got the people who can make cogent arguments and illustrate their points, and on the other side, you've got people who might as well just stand there and shout random obsenities if they can't back there opinions up with nothing more than tub-thumping bile.

How can any manager faced with our injury list be considered lucky?!

And do you think that Smac goes into the dressing room all the time and says 'There there lads, you were just unlucky?' A manager is expected NOT to critisise his own team to the press. He gives them real stick in private I can assure you.

There are some very odd opinions on here - no one should be banned for an opinion but I do think the people who insult others from the safety of their keyboards are pretty sad.

re: LUCKY MACCA

Alas not but I am mates with someone who has been on the receiving end of it.

Smac is famous within footie for being Fergie like with his players. After all, look who trained him.

I think Mac has done a bllody good job leading the overall maturing of the club into a serious contender. Something which we have never been except perhaps for 1 year in the mid seventies.

Still, for some we could win everything and it would still not be enough.

To explain point from earlier Mr Southgate - I would have responded earlier but I've been on my lunch - you only post on football threads where there is a whiff of negativity and only after someone else has been negative.

You're another poster in disguise and on a wind-up. You don't post on other threads because it's not "your character".

An old mate of mine from primary school works for the club and has told me that McClaren is a swine to the players. Mmmm, wonder who he got that from eh, Sir Alex???

jimmythewondercat Posted on 7/2 13:20
re: LUCKY MACCA

4th to 6th would be great. Think we can still do it as well. After all, we are 6th now and we have players coming back.

I live in the south now and I am finally enjoying being taken seriously as a Boro fan rather than patronised all the time - we have come a long way and I think he can take us further if he gets the luck we need.

Every weekend i watch a comedy film its called match of the day and usually you can get some great laughs from this team called boro who one minute play well then the next play like donkeys.
Macca should not have let davies go ,mcmahon should get his game week in week out and his failure to bring anyone in will result in boro dropping further down the league. When everyone is fit i would also give southgate a few matches rest as he is not looking at his best and before anyone starts i think his attitude is excellent just a little jaded

Truthfully, the first half we did well the tactics were correct, but what the fluck happened second half we were battered.Morrison is fast but his passes leave a lot to be desired but to be fair he his only a sprog, but thats where we were light today in midfield. Why did mclaren just sit there in the stand he should have been down on the touch line encouraging his players.Schwarzer ,well nobody can work him out, saved the game for me along with riggot who is a must for a first team place ahead of ehiogu.Personally mcmahon is another first teamer for me,but i still do not like macca, bizarely of course

I am sick to the back teeth of hearing him saying we showed great character and we were tremendous.FFS we were playing bl00dy charlton teams like this should be played off the park.Just because we have come a long way in a short time albeit with millions and millions of pounds we have a right to expect 3 points against this team.Week in week out we are now struggling and his mistake to bring anyone in in january will prove very costly. We will be lucky to finish in the top ten,by next week we will be 8th,because villa will prove to much for us .Never mind keily played well,if he was that good he would be playing for a big club, the only reason he looked good was from poor finishing from boro players, why the fcuk do they strike the ball straight at the keeper is it too much to ask for some quality finishing especially from JFH.

"It's only exciting if we pick up 3 points"

ontheruin, you are a fcukwit of the highest order, go watch American Football or something if the points are all that matter - they have loads of points in their games.

The tide is turning and despite the fact that this board id full or ginger pig ra ra's McClaren's days are numbered. The longest he will stay is one more season. Good riddance.

Yes, well said. Good riddance. I knew I couldn't be the only one who longed for the Robbo glory days of battling relegation with the most dour football imaginable and never having a positive goal difference. God, Robbo was awesome, not like this clown McClaren. 6th in the league and the last 16 of the UEFA cup is disgusting. A club of our history and stature should have a Ferguson or an Ancelotti or a Scolari at the helm. I personally expect us to win the league at least every other season otherwise... Eh, what's the point?

You fcuking idiots...

re: LUCKY MACCA

Wrong boro_Maverick, I am no ra ra, nor am I an all out supporter of Mac, but I do acknowledge that he has done so much for us, and believe that bar injuries this season we would have been 4th and pushing still.

With half a team out most weeks, and with the kids holding their own against fully experienced professionals, I think we have done exceptionally well to remain 6th. To me that shows Mac at his best, and the 'character' of the players he has had to use to make up the deficit has been exceptional.

I believe there are some who would moan if we came 6th this year and qualified again for the UEFA Cup (which has been announced today as a definite).......that sort of fan isn't worth a sh˙te - we'd be better off with another empty seat than that type.

re: LUCKY MACCA

ever thought that Davies may actually not be up to the standard of a top 6 Premiership side?? I had my concerns and obviously the coaching staff did.
It's a shame McClaren hasn't gone - then I wouldn't have the hassle of organising these European trips...

re: LUCKY MACCA

Well another 3 points down the swanny.Come on macca fook off yeh teams relegation form.I will admit it i did not watch todays sh^te or listen to it but surely i am still allowed to comment, come on tell me mcclarens tactics were spot on again ,lots of character, tremendously solid at the back.Aston Villa are one of the poorest teams in the league and we were turned over( again).MACCA OUT MACCA OUT

re: LUCKY MACCA

ffs you are a bloody joke now mclaren, what a diabolical performance, reizeger is a complete joke and downing is so overated its unbelievable. He cannot for his life cross a ball ,you cannot blame the strikers when he his not delivering jack sh^t,he does not put in 100%,are you sure you signed the real reizeger because this buffoon cannot pass a decent ball ,he should be dropped but no you wont drop your favourites will you even though he has not put in a decent performance since he signed.

re: LUCKY MACCA

THE MANS A FOOL ,lets get rid, people are starting to see what i and a few others have seen for some time now the man is not a master tactician just fortunate that some players were playing well for a few months.Zenden was our top bloke for awhile but has since gone off the boil(2-3 months ago)and our results, well we have not really had any have we apart from defeats against poor opposition. We need to hang on to him but i cannot see it not playing for mclaren anyway, wee need some fresh ideas injected into this club and it is time he went to his beloved manu or england. What the hell has happened to downing the lad is a shadow of his formerself,he cannot cross anymore he never looks for a pass down the wing, maybe mclarens tactics are drowning downing

lucky lucky man i told you he is a jammy sod,but oh what a boring team hopefully the next manager will instill some confidence and excitment and we will reach an even higher position.Well done you pulled it off through sheer luck now do us a favour and resign

re: LUCKY MACCA

Oh yes sonofgod, we were really lucky all those months that Boateng was injured, not to mention all the other injuries we got in that time, if it hadn't been for those, then we would have qualified for Europe far earlier than today, luck has nothing to do with it, so do us all a favour and do one, you moron!!!

thesonofgod Posted on 15/5 21:01
