fao-BUNGY DINSDALE!

Speak of the devil ! just last night in fact, me and my mate andrea simpson who am staying with in SYdney. I lived in the squat in Acland Road after you had just left in 89. I know kitch, we were at art college back in 83, saw him just before i came out here in july, also know ian ingram very well and we met your brother in denmark st. too last year. small world...

Im hoping to get to NZ at the end of this week, i did get in touch with academy cinema in Auck when i set up the oztour but they werent interested and it seemed too risky financially for me to hire it.

i fly back to UK form Syd on the 26th Oct. Not sure if i will have time to see all of it...think im going to jump on the magicbus around the south island...not sure how long it will take and whether the north island is a possibility, would like to see Auckland and the Dorman Long stamp on there too....what do you reckon i should do you mustve done all of it??? see my email below

cheers, Craig ( craig@pancrack.tv )

Kia ora Craig. Indeed it is a very small world. How's Andi doing? Pass on my regards and ask her to get in touch (email mike.dinsdale@northernadvocate.co.nz).
Bloody hell, was Acland Rd still going for that long after I left? What a great gaff it was. Which of the two squats did you live in? There's been a steady stream of teessiders through both those houses in th four or five years they were open.
In fact for many Teessiders it was the first place they lived in London - we used to have some great parties there as I'm sure Ian Ingram can testify.
Speaking of which how the hell is he? I heard he was living back in Redcar.
Give me an email when you arrive (or phone 09 4702838 or 021 516093) as it would be great to catch up with you if you are close enough (I live two hours north of Auckland, but if I get a bit of notice I can easily take the day off to go down there)
I emailed Kitch t'other day. He's having problems selling thei9r house so his plans to be over here to live by Xmas have gone out of hte window.
Also I think Jo is having second thoughts.
However, I'm going back there in April/May so hopefully I'll be able to rekindle their interest.
You should put Andi in touch with Jaraz (how's it going Jaraz?) as he seems like a decent bloke for her to lead astray.
There's a fairly big group of Teessiders lving in Whangarei and they have a formal Ex-pat Teessiders group that meet monthly.
I don't go along as i'm generally too busy.
But Send me your email to my address above and I'll try to get them to get hold of you. They may be keen to show Century in Stone, which would be good for me also.
And Londonjinx, thank you for your well thought out, reasoned input into this topic.

re: fao-BUNGY DINSDALE!

Good stuff Craig. Give me a ring when you get here and I'll try to catch up with you. OR, when you get off the plane at Auckland, instead of turning left to go south, turn right and head north as Northland, my part of the country, is surely the jewel in the crown of NZ (showing my bias there of course) - miles of unspolit beaches (nobody lives more than 20 minutes from the coast and we've got one beach that's 90 kms long), the best weather in the country and the hottest women. It's also the first place Maori (800 years ago) then Europeans (about 250 years ago) settled in NZ so has the most history.
Interestingly enough Craig that house in Acland Rd was built in the early 1800s and is older than any stone building in NZ (my Kiwi girlfriend at the time Carolyn, who Andi knows well and who also lived in Acland Rd, found it amazing that she was living in a house older than any in her homeland)
Also, I live here and I've always got a spare settee for any visitors from home to crash on.
I'll give your cellphonea ring on Saturday to see if it works. If not try my home no (09) 4365044.
Hopefully we'll catch up soon.
Hey Jaraz, I'm heading off back to the UK in April/May next year and was gong to stop off in Sydney for a couple of nights to catch up with Andi (who Craig's staying with) so if so I'll catch up with you then also as I still have your no.
