Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

I've been having some random thoughts about the board and this was one of them. I reckon I'm a category 4 brain, which is the same as BB75, The Lizards Jumper and Grantus. Just above Bandito, Blotonthelandscape and Janplanner who are category 5 and just below category 3's Tees Tug, MsCurly and Chutney.

There are 8 categories ranging from Speckyget and Red Rebel right down to Boateng7 and Paddler. The status of other posters status is available upon application. Selected others are

Category 2 - Moxin, Gillandi

Category 6 - Forza, Briggsy

Category 7 - New Era and Tony Block 19

I'm honoured to be considered as intelligent as bb75.

Does this make us soul mates ?

captain5 Posted on 9/11 15:04
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

I think I get it.

So, we have......(example)

1. Specky, rebel
2. moxzin (are you sure?? I'd just buy a Mossad handbook to compensate), Gillandi
3. Tugsdale, Curly tops, Chutters
4. Buggerlugs et al
5. Bandy, Blot, Missankles
6. Forza (on medication), Briggsy
7. The Stockton junior frontline
8. Paddler, Dicky
84. Boateng_7, rich10

jeff_potato Posted on 9/11 15:08

Hmm. Some questionable ratings there, like the insertion of a sixth form politician with an Israeli passion. And moxzin. Bum tish.

How does Briggsy get as high as 6?

captain5 Posted on 9/11 15:09

If it's the norm that the more intelligent you are, the worse you tend to be at football, you could be highly ranked on this Mr Potato.

Boateng_7 Posted on 9/11 15:11
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

So in your eyes captain I should be playing at a decent level?

Theodore_Lunacy Posted on 9/11 15:13
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

Only those who wish to be rated by my shallow judgemental mind. Or those who are nominated by others out of spite.

Dybuks - I am not overfamiliar with your work Dybuk. I think I am right in saying you are quite polite and reasoned, a bit like Scoea - Category 3

Captain5 - I don't think you are that bright. A smartarse yes, but smart I'm not so sure. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt - Category 4.

Lennie_Godber Posted on 9/11 15:14

so where would i rank?

scoea Posted on 9/11 15:14

captain5 Posted on 9/11 15:15

Just above Pele, Adam.

You're quite probably right Lugs. Hopefully I'll have attained sufficient wisdom when I eventually reach your age.

captain5 Posted on 9/11 15:17
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

Lennie is definitely a 1; crazy (nice way) genius.

scoea is a lawyer - category 7.

scoea Posted on 9/11 15:20
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

I am actually a qualified genius. I've got the certificate and everything.

captain5 Posted on 9/11 15:22
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

Before Adam comes on to say that he also has a certificate from this place, I 'd like to point out that MENSA doesn't have a 'C' or a 'P' in it.

boroboy75 Posted on 9/11 15:22

Theodore_Lunacy Posted on 9/11 15:24
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

I thought long and hard about Moxzin, well for a few seconds anyway. Unbalanced and unreasonable as he is I don't think we can deny that he has a big brain, unless he is a cut and paste merchant.

mmmmmmm.......have I been duped?

Toots - You were originally a 3 because you have some moments of great insightfulness. But bouts of flightiness and bad life choices have brought you down to a 4.

Although I respect that you placed me in the same category as yourself, i feel it may be slightly off the mark. The reason Im seen as a 4 is that I enjoy my work slumming it with the "special needs" kids, some people dont realise the good my experiements are doing for society.

Although I must point out that even with only one leg I am still one hell of a 30 year old striker. I know where the goal is.

intelligence should be gauged by how you perform on the big stage and not how many letters you have after your name
the biggest stage around here is the riverside and i was the first winner of the home and away quiz against leeds on the little fellas debut.
4-1 beat leeds and i squeezed the life out of his hand,he looks like jeremy beadle now
does that put me top of the class?

Nedkat is a 4, as is Norfolkngood. I always get you two confused anyway.

Inage was the category oner whose name I couldn't recall, he was Khalid or something similar?. There is another bloke as well, extreme left winger and anti American. I don't care for him at all but he is undoubtedly a brainiac.

I have considered many factors in my judgements, not just academic qualifications or extended vocabularies. I know lads with degrees who can't tie their own shoelaces.

10-4: Have posted to this thread at some point
3: Read but didn't post to this thread
2: Didn't read this thread
1: Left the board years ago.

It's one of those things that wanting to be ranked highly automatically disqualifies you, as you stupidly got sucked into this thread.

I see your point sas, though, similarly, there are obviously people who are well read but does that make them intelligent? Moxin obviously studies hard but often seems unable to accept viewpoints that oppose his own and will get patronised by some of the board's elder statesmen. jeff_potato Posted on 9/11 17:27
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

There's a difference between academic intelligence and intelligence which you gain from life itself, I've certainly discovered this and I'm only a young 'un!

My classes at university are full of pompous muppets who try and run before they can walk with "intelligent" and "high-brow" arguments/discussions, but seeing as the whole point of my higher education is to lay a foundation towards knowledge, I wouldn't say I'm particularly intelligent about the subjects I cover.

Exhibit A: A girl in one of my classes from sixth form who gained multiple A grades yet couldn't name the President of the USA.

Juventus Posted on 9/11 17:27
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

I have issues with exams for exactly the opposite reasons. I got 4 As at A level doing absolutely no work whatsoever, not doing coursework and not doing revision. Exams nowadays are far too based on communication, which was handy for me because I'm good at writing and manipulating the examiner into thinking I know what I'm talking about when in fact I don't (hence my choice of four A Level subjects). I knew nothing about Psychology - what investigations Piaget did etc etc, but I got more marks in exams than those that did because I just happen to be a good writer and could express what I did know better. Not a good system in my opinion. And even degree level seems like that as well. I haven't even bought any books yet, never mind read them, yet I can effortlessly blag my way through tutorials with a bit of general knowledge and quick thinking.

Fair enough Gill.

*Closes door* phew.

There's people who know how to, and there's people who know where the book is to show them how to.

There's people who can tell you the volume of a jam jar, but they can't get the lid off. There's people who know the cosine of a banana, but can they bugger as like peel the basterd.

Sage words, Nedders.

I have to say, when I saw this thread I thought it was going to be about FMTTM espionage.

*swing that lamp*

When I was Chief Ned on me submarine, the powers above used to send me these young lads straight from their highly technical electrical engineering training. These young fella's had more pieces of paper telling me how intelligent they were, than you could shake a rusty stick at. None of them impressed me in the slightest, and they were harder to train than the poor wee sailors who had worked their way up from being a acting Junior second class Asswipe !!

(good lord ! I spelled 'there' wrong, that's me back to a 5)

Is this an official appeal against your rating then Ned?

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

This thread reminds me of the story about the Harvard Business School 10 year class reunion. All the graduates are standing around trying to impress each other with how well they are doing, and then somebody says I wonder how old Jenkins is doing. Jenkins was the class idiot who was always asking the daft questions and getting everything hopelessly wrong. They all start telling their favourite Jenkins stories when they see Jenkins through the window arriving in a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce. He gets out and they see he is with this absolute knockout woman, in a fur coat and dripping with jewellery. Jenkins comes into the room and they ask him how he is doing. "Can't complain," he says. "I moved to California, started a business importing stuff from the Far East, just bits and bobs really. Buy them for a dollar each and sell them for 4. But you'd be amazed how those 3 per cents keep adding up."

Honestly, I only learned the best way to peel the banana about a year ago and I dont think it is the most common way.

For those of you who peel from the stalk end, you've got it wrong, as you know it can commonly squash a bit of the nana.

Slightly dig in your nail to the other end and viola, there you go.

Who would have though it eh?

For those of you who knew, yeah, yeah yeah.

Big_Shot is a very clever lad (so you should be higher up captain). Infrequent poster JonSina is another.

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

Ned - I take your point very well. One unit of common sense is worth 10 units of intelligence.

Typical. A busy day and I miss the fun.

Oh and I'd be low down, probably in a deep dark pit.

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

Hmmm....you can tell the government haven't got their teeth into you lot yet.

You can't be satisfied with knowing what level you ARE these days, you have to set yourself a TARGET LEVEL and write down how you are going to get there and also how to tell when you've made it.

Just knowing where you are now doesn't generate anywhere near enough paperwork.

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

So anyway - main point of this must be, am I now in a clique with tees_tug and MsCurly?

Don't care about the category, as long as I'm above scoea.

tees_tug Posted on 9/11 19:29
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

Yes Chuts, we are going to read the same books, listen to classical music (low level stuff) and write poetry together.

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

All the time I've spent tapping these bloody keys has meant bugger all. Not a mention. Not even a passing glance. Pfff. I don't care if i'm fik!

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

I am comfortable with my huge grasp of meaningless bunkum and a smattering of pointless statistical information.

I have no wish to be pigeonholed as a 3 or a 6. I know where Crewe play and I know the capital of Armenia. That makes all those years of schooling worthwhile.

Apparently, I am the 453rd cleverest bloke in Fairfield and that'll do for me.

That's unfortunate Chutney because you're not.

Don't worry OPEO. You and me must be off the scale.

As Einstein said, "Don't bother memorising anything you can look up in 2 minutes."

Oh, and I'm absolutely crap at football.

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

I did start a post with your name in it littlejimmy, and Buddy as well. But it never got posted as I used that tab to read a story about a man who got glued to a toilet seat instead. Sorry about that.

littlejimmy Posted on 9/11 21:03
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

Where did you put me then, Eddie?

tees_tug Posted on 9/11 21:34
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

"Where did you put me then, Eddie?"

Left stuck on the toilet seat I would think Jimmy.

What's up Jimmy? You seem tense today, tell uncle tug all about it.

A problem shared is a problem halfed.

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

An ugly brute with a big spoon keeps picking on me. I don't know why. I've never done anything to him. All I do is wear my heart on my sleeve. I suppose that opens me up to it.

*sniff*

tees_tug Posted on 9/11 21:50
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

Well Jimmy, I am neither ugly nor a brute. So you are O.K. with me mate. I rank as a numder three in the intelligence rankings as well!

However it has been pointed out to me that as it was awarded by a Mr. Lunacy, there is a queston mark over it's validity.

Saw this and thought of you.

re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

You say there are 8 categories. Id like to suggest 3 more:
Category 9 - An amoeba
A Jellyfish
A Lump of coal

Category 10 - Your average makum

Category 11 - Fat Al The Jordy

tees_tug Posted on 9/11 21:57
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

How kind of you Jimmy.

I think you are getting better.

Eddie_Catflap Posted on 9/11 22:10
re: Official FMTTM Intelligence Rankings

I didn't as such. Something along the lines of you and Buddy seemed clever and then a half finished comment about him liking Robbie Williams.. a bit crap now I think about it.

Anyway, the man who was stuck to the seat is suing for $3 million, if he wins he's surely smarter than anyone on here.
