If anyone is thinking of going to Frankfurt for the World Cup be aware that that Ryanair fly to Frankfurt Hahn and not Frankfurt main airport. We found out to our cost, after booking train tickets from Frankfurt (main) to Stuttgart but landing at Frankfurt hahn about 70 km from Frankfurt! An expensive taxi ride and some nice German ticket collectors found us in Stuttgart well behind schedule with just time for a couple of drinks. A friendly Stuttgart fan went out of his way to show us the way to the stadium. Enjoyed the game, Boro fans were magnificent,a few nightcaps and an early rise to make up for our mistake of flying Ryan air. | |

Never seen any posts on that but I'm having a good laugh about it now. I enjoyed the match, got home safe and only paid out an extra 68 euros (thanks to German efficiency) | |
