Well, that's it. Any remaining shred of belief I had that we could win the tie has gone.

Please not Parlour or Doriva.

Rockie in with George, with Morrison and Downing on the wings.

re: Lee Cattermole

I pray that Doriva or Parlour dont play.

SMAC has to play rochey in the middle with Boateng, with Morrison and Downing on the flanks.

re: Lee Cattermole

I have to agree, any sign of Parlour or Doriva in the starting line up will mean defeat from the off. They were made to look stupid from the off in Switzerland and quite honestly they are past it.

I pray Morrison, Downing, Rocky and Boat start but something tells me it isnt McLarens style.

Where has it said he's out for the season? It said on SSN last night he was doubtful. You don't go from being doubtful to out for the season. If we play Rocky and Boat in the centre with Morrison and Downing on the flanks, that's about a good a midfield as we could get for this game.

If Cattermole's fit for Sunday, I'd keep the same midfield except swap Cat for Rocky.

re: Lee Cattermole

It gives McClaren the opportunity to play Rocky in the middle. If either Doriva or Parlour play, it's game over before a kick of the ball.

re: Lee Cattermole

Doriva played very well in basle and is one of the reasons we`re still in with a shout, unlike our whizz kid who was to engrossed in impressing his mates .

re: Lee Cattermole

Doriva always gets a ruff ride on this board. He is quite possibly one of the most unspectacular players i have ever seen bnut he always does a job. Unfortunately for us that job is needed when we are looking for a draw of to kill a game off. Goo to bring on for last 20 if we are 3-0 up.

re: Lee Cattermole

Doriva only plays well in a midfield of five. It allows him to sit in front of the back four; only move sideways; and pass the ball a maximum of five yards. I was going to say that this is not required tonight but he played like that against Chelsea...
