Are there any out there? If so, The Daintees are playing two Christmas gigs at The Cluny (Newcastle) on the 14th and 15th December. It's been a long time since I've seen them all together.

Only got "Boat to Boliva", but it's a cracking album. If I back up in the North East over Xmas, I may well venture out to take in one of the shows.

They were always fantastic live, really funny and MS was always a character. I saw them dozens of times and never tired of them. The last time was one of his solo gigs at The Arc a good few years ago and he'd gone very bluesy and a bit self-indulgent, but I reckon a Christmas Daintees gig will be fantastic.

I remember seeing them at York Uni years ago. As an encore he led his band and audience around the venue in a giant conga line!

Thanks for the info. One of my all time favourite bands. I went to see them at Redcar Bowl in about '86 and gor to go back stage and meet them as a friends uncle worked there. I haven't heard any of their recent stuff but I'd love to see them again.
