No, but The Da Vinci Code is a canny read.

Total Crap. Possibly the worst book I have ever read. It is as though the author has read a 'how to write a book' guide and then bribed someone to publish it.

Well I enjoyed it anyway. I never said it was the best written novel on the earth, just a canny read.

Well given that it is crap, it's sold in the region of 7.35 million copies since first published and made the author - Dan Brown - both a household name and a very rich man. His subsequent books are all best sellers and the Da VInci Code is a (very average IMHO) movie. That does not make it good BTW, but it does make it succesful.

How many movies are ever better than the novel? Not many.

It's a good book, but I generally prefer fiction.

So, is it good that the success of The Da Vinci Code has led people to read more, or is it bad that it has gotten people to read a bad book? Maybe I could have stated this better but you get the general meaning of my blah, blah, blah...
