It usually says at the bottom of the box that pops up when you double click volume control.

Tried that, but: "No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer." So it won't tell me what type it is, because there's no driver installed. I can't find the driver until I know which one I need. Irony is i've got a swish Sony Vaio with Bose speakers... but its at warr lasses, where she uses it for important things like buying clothes off ebay that she doesn't like and talking to people on myspace that she doesnt like. And porn.

Isn't there a generic driver Windows uses for things like sound cards, graphic cards, printers etc? Vaio's are top apart from the fooking rubbish DVD Drives, the X Black is well worth it.
