| Poor result.... but | |
I understand the frustration at losing to lower league opposition. But, Viduka had a cracking shot saved in the first half and Christ knows how their keeper got to Huth's effort after the rebound from Viduka. And Huth had one headed off the line. And Parnaby should have scored too there near the end. I'm still gutted to be out but on balance we had four or five excellent chances to their one and on another night, not all bad news, we never got battered... etc.

Sorry, but i hate trying to take positives from a game like this, face it, there are no positives. The players should be reminded of this game and their performances and how the fans stayed behind them regardless and for little reward. Maybe then they'll start earning their money and showing some bottle and determination

"see? Stampy has used 'your' correctly. Not hard is it?" I hope YOU'RE not implying that if even Stampy can employ the correct usage of the words "your" and "you're", then anyone can do it. Cheeky bugger.

The linesman was flagging for fun in the second half too....three quarters of the time we dissected their defence with a pass and got got pulled up for being off we were actually on but hey ho that's footie, a cruel mistress, an errant child and all that.

No it wasn't good and you can't defend it. But despite that we could have won. Easily. It comes down to luck sometimes and whereas Mac was the jammiest man in football I think Southgate must have broken a mirror or two in his time. (open goal for someone...)

lets face it, the season is over!!!!!! You're all delusional if you think we're gonna be alright. 17th if we're lucky!!! Uncle Harry- I hope you've got your marker pen ready as I know you're gonna point out any mistakes!

Another thing is that there are quite a few other teams going out to lower league opposition. I wasn't very pleased to just check the internet now and find this result, but I wouldn't have been particularly ecstatic either had we tonked them 5-0. I'm sure most of us will forget this pretty easily if we put together a decent run in the league. For me, I also quite like Notts County having once lived in Nottingham and they have a decent set of fans who I don't begrudge a bit of success given how they've suffered over recent years, which probably helps ease the disappointment a bit. --- Post edited by borojap on 21/9 3:06 ---

"...we never got battered?" Is this how low our expectations have reached? Notts County. 6th in League 2. But at least we never got battered. Pity help us.
