Your plain wrong. And this has NOTHING to do with opinion. They were responsible for two of the most important albums in rock history, "Selling England By The Pound" and "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway". There is no need for a debate, these are facts. | |

Genesis with Gabriel were simply the greatest rock band of all time. Never mind the albums that fastcakes mentioned, there's rarely a week goes by when I don't listen to Trespass or Foxtrot - now that's longevity for you. Genesis without Gabriel were ok but very ordinary. | |

I'd hardly say they were one of the greatest rock bands in the world-since when has any prog rock band been classed in such a category?? Neither are they crap-the live version of Domino on I think its The Longs is a great tune. True their albums have stood the test of time but I really cant see them as one of the greatest rock bands in the world. | |
