got most of his stuff seen him loads of times ex South Bank St Peters lad and one of the nicest men you could ever spend time with remember one night driving to Saltburn for a night out, had a tape of his on in the car. parked and as i turned around literally bumped into the Said Mr Garbutt. I remember remarking"that never happens when i am playing Oasis" | |

I think he gets over to Canada quite regularly. Has played at the Cuckoo's Nest Folk Club in London, Ontario on a few occasions. | |

Yep Vin is a top man...deep, meaningful and absolutely hilarious! The geordies loved him the other night, he had them transixed for over 2 hours and his patter had them in stitches. Its amazing really, he's been exporting Teesside stories on a never ending tour across Britain, Canada, OZ , NZ and even Malaysia since the 70s. I am hoping to do a doco on his life. Benidorm2Boro - cheers mate, that Grangetown film, I took some stick for showing the reality of that but others backed me up. Debate raged which was the whole point! Look out for the next film on Teesside identity which I have started making...mucho reality in that too. | |

Craig - I really admire your work and have had endless pleasure watching century of Stone i have shown it offshore to quite a few people whe were interested and to a man they all enjoyed it (sorry no royalties but i did have to bring 3 copies offshore to lads who wanted to buy) I look forward to your next project and that would be a great idea doing a Film about a real living Teesside legend | |

I went to see him last night (well Saturday night) at Great Broughton village hall. First time I've seen him and he was absolutely brilliant. great stories, but even better songs. Anybody who hasn't seen him and gets the chance go and see him. You won't regret it. | |
