Anyone watch that match last night? Always good to see the smug scousers take a beating So do you think that Gareth will now pay way over the odds for Aliadiere on the strength of 1 good performance. I hope not....

What I loved more than anything was how sky were saying that Liverpool are the comeback kings and this could really be "an interesting last 20 minutes ... oh - it's six"

Yeah I heard that comment and thought "what about us last season in the UEFA" Get so sick hearing those smug scousers going on about "just the 5 times", nice to see them get a pasting on their own patch

Benitez Out I'd have been happy for us to take a punt on Aliadiare anyway. Hope we go back for him now.

Problem is the price will be £2m higher now despite the fact that in all his other games this season he's been dross

He's better than Christie, Maccarone and Danny Graham.

We were only in for him on loan for the resy of the season anyway. Although I'd suspect Wenger would give him a free. --- Post edited by Big_Shot on 10/1 10:44 ---

I went last night - on a corporate freebie through work. Even to a totally impartial observer, it was clear that Arsenal were better, quicker, fitter and more committed. And when they had the ball, they FLOOD forward so quickly. Fabulous to watch. Even in the posh seats, the scousers were still utterly loathsome. I had my lad with me ( he is 8 ), and the bloke behind us was an absolute disgrace, used all the words yoiu would expect. Hideous man. When Arsenal got the sixth, I clapped - and he had a right go. "You a cockney???" "No, but that was a good goal!". Typical bitter scouser In fairness, there were 42,000 there, and only about 14000 at the end - but more or less all of them gave Arsenal a standing ovation as they left the pitch. Thought Arsenal were sensational last night.

So 2/3 of the scousers left before the end yet the commentators went on about how brilliant the scouse fans were for droning on singing "you'll never walk alone" Sounds like most of them did 15 mins before the end
