connect a ethernet cable to the back of your modem then connect the other end to the back of your xbox. simple | |

thats how i did mine, just used the cable supplied with the xbox, do you have a HDD with your xbox | |

I connected the cable supplied, and the xbox diagnostics said it was wired ok but had'nt an IP address. It's the sons xbox and it has a hdd. | |

Turn the cable modem off for a minute. Then back on again. You usually need to do this when swapping devices. | |
