| Sator covering Bop song! | |
Got an e-mail today confirming that Swedish punk band Sator are doing a version of the Blitzkrieg Bop song "Get Out Of My Way" on the album "BBQ Killers Vol.2", due for release later this year. Apparently every album they release gets into the Swedish charts, so I may get a little renumeration. They are also shortly releasing a DVD of a live concert in which they perform the song. "Get Out Of My Way" ? The song doesn't ring a bell, unlike 9 til 5, lets go, viva bobby joe, life is just a so so and of course bugger off (which is my mobile ringtone at the mo) Nice one John, you never know what'll happen if the album charts in Sweden. Get your songwriter head on n good luck. btw any news on the eyeliner years cd you were doing ? | |

IAO: Thanks. "Get Out Of My Way" was never properly recorded by the band (there are live versions and a home demo which appears on the "Top Of The Bops" CD (now out of print - I intend to re-release it)) Eyeliner Years - I am fed up waiting for the American label to release this - you can have a copy of the latest version of the master (we keep changing it) plus there's a bonus CD of rarities you can have also - don't tell everybody - and no copying. | |
