you can listen live on the link if you take an early lunch break. Grab your food at half 11, come back, listen to it and then back to work. --- Post edited by mboro19 on 24/1 9:31 ---

saw him last night in London - excellent and the support wasn't bad either. One of the best gigs i've been too - so much energy!

Another american singer called Clem Snide - pretty good, just him and his guitar.

Did Clem Snide do his Christina Aguilera cover?

| re: Attn Ben Folds fans | |
why, yes he did. As well as Close to You and The Ballad of David Icke which he acknowledged would go down better here than in the US.

I went to see him last night as well, and I was a little bit disappointed. The second half of the gig was a lot better, but initially it was way too quiet and he played a bit too much of 'Songs for Silverman'. He didn't play 'Brick' or 'Not the Same' either - probably his two best songs. Here's hoping for a different set list in Manchester on Saturday.

Apparently he played Underground though: if he plays this tomorrow I'll die happy.

Sunset - how was it for you ?? Me and the Frisky Doughnuts saw him at the Manc Apollo on Saturday - a bit miffed that he didn't do Evaporated, which he did at other shows, or Not The Same, but he did ace versions of Underground, Army and a great cover of 'Such Great Heights' by The Postal Service (their album 'Give Up' is recommended btw, cheers FD) and the synthesiser was a new development - there's always been a bit of a banging techno element to his music, so it seems Apparently he's doing a week's residency at the Sydney Opera House sometime next year - now THAT's a gig I'd like to be at..... --- Post edited by WilmslowRed on 29/1 22:13 ---

I went away thinking how good Ben Folds Five were really. Narcolepsy, Kate, Underground and OAD with a band were all amazing. Comparitively the ep/silverman stuff (especially the ep stuff) just isn't as good. I'd much rather hear Mess than All U Can Eat or Fair than You've Got to Learn to Live with what you are. Still enjoyed it though. The Postal Service cover was better than the Postal Service too.
