Reforming for the Coachella festival in America. I hope they carry on and play the Leeds festival. Been listening to their albums loads for the last few months, brilliant.

Here's hoping they extend it past Coachella, it would be monumentous - can't see it happening though. I saw them at Leeds in 2001 (I think) and it turned out to be one of their final gigs.

Mr_Incident I am SO jealous haha, them and The Smiths are the only bands I wanna see now and they're both extinct ;| RATM @ Carling Weekend would make my year, Possibly decade. --- Post edited by Boro_Lee88 on 25/1 0:16 ---

Leeds/Reading are always a year behind the pack due their obsession with bands that 14-year-olds go for - like putting the Darkness as woeful headliners, and you can guarantee My Chemical Sh**pants will be headlining this year. Meant I had to go to T in the Park to see Pixies reunion. Was bloody worth it though. This the end of Audioslave then? Not a bad band, but seemed like they were just out decent riffs without any real fire. Thought all the other members of RATM hated Zach?

Rage are superb, got every album and DVD they've released. The first album is still the best though.

I've been meaning to ask - when did Annie Lennox form My Chemical Romance?

When she tapped into the dark depths of her tortured soul of deepest black. Or something.

Ewey (and everyone else for that matter), Zach is now said to be on good terms with the rest of the band. I assume it will be the end of Audioslave, which is bad, but Rage reforming will make up for it. Also, Wikipedia states that the bands official website confirmed rumours of a full tour.

That's cracking news then - a couple of Audioslave tunes nearly sound like Rage, then you get Cornell's drawl rather than Zach spitting rhymes about gun-running zapatistas, exploited townships and that. Coachella's supposed to be a dreadfully organised festival though - no transport (it's in the desert), nowhere to stay (it's in the desert) and mile-long queues for water and beer (it's in the desert... surely you'd have thought that would have occurred to the organisers by now)

Yeah I know, which means I probably wont be going. Me and my mate have contemplated rowing the Atlantic though, so if you wanna help steal a boat, theres space. We have to set off tonight though, at midnight. Cochise intro sounds exactly like Rage imo. --- Post edited by Boro_Lee88 on 25/1 14:39 ---

Not the end of Audioslave. They're just not doing anything for a while. Morello's releasing a solo album call The Nightwatchman, Cornell's doing solo stuff as well. De La Rocha and the rest of the band are on very good terms. They're saying it's a one off but I hope they find the old fire on stage and rip up Leeds/Reading. As for Audioslave/Rage debate, I think Cornell's and De La Rocha's styles are far too different to even compare them, neither could fill in for the other which is why Audioslave doing Rage covers sounded sh_it. Couldn't see De La Rocha singing be yourself either.
