I'm sure you all know the details, but i've just spoken to their manager and there's no 'queue placing' tickets being given out, so even if you're in the first 650 you should still watch out for people holding places in the queue for others. Would be a shame if a nice gig like this turned into a pr nightmare. Our friend who promoted the morcambe show said it was great, the new stuff is really worth being patient with tickets. We'll be holding the aftershow party across the road at Basement, 10-2am. You must have a gig ticket to get into the aftershow, the boys will be over to have a few beers and spin a few tracks too. First time i've managed to get on here since the gig on Tuesday. Firstly the band, manager and tour manager were genuinely gutted about the people who queued and couldn't get in for the show. If it was at a private club they'd have probably twisted the venue managers arm and got everyone in, but its not gonna happen in a town hall. The very fact the first post said there was no tickets/wristbands going to be given out backs up whats been said that the band and management didn't have a clue - he told me 10pm Monday its first come first served otherwise it just gets complicated (how true). Hope anyone who came over the road after the gig had a good time. There was a point around tea time we were gonna pull the aftershow, as the tour manager was worried about a drunken backlash against the band by anyone who was fooked over with wristbands - but it was all good in the end. Band all turned up, had a bit of crack with as many people as possible, autographed whatever people wanted signing and even bought their own beer(!) leaving my good mate Burnsey on his own to swill a good 20 cans in the dj box :-) | |
