Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I am at my wits end.

I am a red book holder.

I want to buy a ticket online for the Man Utd cup match.

I go to the official Boro site and log in.

I click on the "buy tickets" link on the front page.

I am asked to choose between the Man U match and the Man City league match.

I choose the Man U match, I am then asked which stand I want to sit in.

I choose East (my ticket is east) and then the block number (36)

I am then offered a random seat in block 36 - at no point am I given the opportunity to buy MY seat.

I have already sat in a different seat for the WBA game but I am NOT prepared to do that for the Man U game.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW I CAN BUY MY SEAT ONLINE?

Thank you.

I realise that this isn't an answer to your question, but would it not be possible for you to ring them tomorrow and book your ticket over the phone?

Not being arsey...just wondered if that would be an option for you?

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I had same prob yesterday. justt kept logging back in and it was ok. It should have a field for you to type in your patron Numbers, then click on the relevant icons. Just keep trying!

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thanks for the help but no dice.

I have logged in and out three times and each time I attempt to buy there is no opportunity for me to enter my patron number.

I have proceeded to check out and still no patron number box - I have read the "help" page and there is no mention of patron numbers.

HELP!

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I have never bought online, but my parents do it all the time - didn't you get a code sent out that automatically selects your seat when you put it in? I have my code but have never used t so obviously I could be wrong with my interpretation of the letter that came with it.

fastcakes Posted on 4/3 9:52
re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

That would certainly solve the problem.

I have no code that I know of.

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Well as posted before, ive always had trouble with this site and never been able to buy cup tickets off it,I just think as for running a multi-million pound "Buisness" this is a big failing of the club to not get this sorted out.

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

sorry, where does it say that you are guaranteed "your" seat ?
If it's that important pick the phone up get someone to go down for you.

fastcakes Posted on 4/3 10:12
re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Commi:

As a red book holder my seat is guaranteed (under normal circumstances)

The method of payment (which is all I am concerned about here) is immaterial.

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I will ring up the football club tomorrow morning and raise the issue. In the meantime anyone living locally the ticket office is open til 4pm today and if it is the same as yesterday there were hardly any queues at all. As in all the people I spoke with went straight to a window and got served. Might be worth reverting to the old fashioned method.

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thanks Rob.

With the sky triple header today there isn't a window.
I'm away until Wednesday morning with work.

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

presuming you have a log in for boro site.

go to mfc.co.uk.

Top story on news panel is cup tickets, click on that and log in if asked.
2nd paragraph has underlined link to tickets, click it and it takes you to the eticketing log in.log on as normal and it takes you to the patron no page.(just tried it again ok)and follow instructions as normal.
Fill in patron no and name and proceed.

Good luck.
Try clearing your cache if it doesnt work or F5 to renew you page at mfc site.

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Like any on-line sales site, I would imagine there are only a limited amount of applications the system can handle at one time.

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thornabyred

ITS WORKED!!!

Why its worked now and not before is a mystery.

I wonder if its which route you take from the main page to the ticket page?

thornabyred Posted on 4/3 11:41
re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

just probably busy.

gadgie2 Posted on 4/3 12:43
re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thornabyred you are a top man.

I tried all day yesterday and this morning and got the same problem with them offering me an obscure seat in my block.

Followed your instructions and hey presto... it works.

Thanks mate

In like Flynn,

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Might have something to do with not having emptied youe internet cache. If you tried logging on before FA Cup tickets went on sale then there was no option to buy cup tickets. If you then log on again later, your browser might still be loading the old version of the page from your local cache rather than the current version from the server.

Of course I might be talking bollox.

re: Man U ticket - PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I (Mr Gobsh** according to one poster on here) must be mad I have just ordered a ticket for the MU game, which involves a 500 mile round trip for a game live on TV. I think we will need everyone out for this one at the game backing the team for all 95 minutes.

I have had alot of fun booking a ticket today.

Online option (on left) off website - This does not offer a patron number box, so you are not offered your own seat. I have emailed MFC.

Thanks to Thornaby Red went in through the news story on MFC website and this offered patron box.

Then I got my own seat, but I kept trying to move on by pressing proceed in the bottom right and it kept clearing my details. What I found out is that you have to click on the shopping basket icon as well as tick box after filling in patron number etc. This takes you to the payment screen.

Its a bit like the Crystal Maze and not very user friendly in my opinion. For example you would expect the proceeed key to take you to the next page for payment details?

Anyway lets all make it a cracker on Saturday, I'm not travelling to sit and moan. This is our chance to have a crack at beating probably the best team in Europe at present.
