unreal!.she should have been laughed at, and then asked to come back later wearing suitable swimwear like any normal person.

When we were in Dubai a few years ago, a muslim woman got into the swimming pool dressed like that. The lifeguard told her to get out and said she couldn't get back in unless she was in normal swimwear.

unreal, sheer madness, i took my g/f's nephew swimming a few months back and he wasnt even allowed flippers into the pool and then to think she's allowed in this, maddness, bet if i wore one i'd get turfed out.

| re: woman in sauna shocker | |
Why wasn't he allowed flippers? Where else is he going to wear them like?

Do you think the lady in question was trying to attract attention to herself and cause a stir? but doesnt that go against wearing the Hijab in the first place as it is to protect their modesty and not draw attention to them. A few of these people are seeing how far they can take political correctness, say boo to them and they always have human rights solicitors to fight there case for them...

Imagine if someone did it as a joke ... oh wait.

Not just me who thought then.

| re: woman in sauna shocker | |
Human rights it is just an excuse for solicitors to skim more money from the government. No win No fee solictors are not much better, when most of us where Kids if you fell off your bike or tripped while running in the street it was an accident, nobody went looking for some one to blame. but that is an entirely different subject lol

Its obviously a set up, and i doubt the lady was actually Musilm.

| re: woman in sauna shocker | |
A scotsman would not go in a sauna in a kilt. it has to be a set up, and if a scotsman did go in a sauna in a kilt he would be doing it for a laugh and a bet

| re: woman in sauna shocker | |
thats the reason why these stories are printed, to get a reaction by the "opressed white". who actually gives a flying phuk if she did or didnt, its probably a set up by some one with an agenda, either d=for the muslim rights or to highlight an "obvious difference" in the rights of muslims and the rest of us. if a muslim woman wanted to wear a hijab and look terminally stupid while swimming let her, as long as the garment is clean and there is no risk of it becoming entangled in filters ect why do we all get so indignant about these things

Dear me, just take a look at the comments beneath that story and the avatars, too!

| re: woman in sauna shocker | |
it was a joke wasn't it,i think, it would have to be a man.if a muslim woman went alone, into a sauna with men in it,she would receive 50 lashes.only joking.

| re: woman in sauna shocker | |
Well whoever it was, they must be bloody strong, such robes don't strike me as being as easy to swim in as a pair of shorts. I'd hate to swim in a pair of jeans, let alone reams of flowing material!

It wont have been set up. Same thing is happening repeated with a woman in the David Lloyd in Teesside. Plays tennis in the full Hijab then gets into the swimming pool/sauna/jacuzzi in a full Hijab too. Angered quite a few, but nobody, including the club, havent got the balls to say anything to her.

Yeah, but she would easily win the 'who can make the best flotational devices from their attire' contest. Got to be loads better than pyjamas.
