You have to wend your way through the throngs of muscle marys to get there first though! Even though I live just round the corner, I always wondered what the boards were on the Queen Anne (not Queens Head) were for, I never knew. Hardly the best lookers on the planet! The estates that back on to Vauxhall Park are pretty nasty though, so these girls must have balls of steel... infact they may well have just have balls given the other pubs in the area. | |

There are some nice-ish if a bit fancy pubs in the area, its a real mix of the haves and the have-nots. Right opposite Queen Anne is the Lavender, a gastro-ish pub with a nice bar. Bit further away down Harleyford road is the Beehive, which has gone a bit 'chain pub' but is still good. Even a bit further away on Fentiman Road, is the Fentiman Arms which is an excellent Gastro-pub which does good Barbeques in the summer. Not exactly local boozers though. Best traditional boozer is slap bang in the middle of the 2 main gay bars on Kennington Lane, The Royal Oak, good friendly place. --- Post edited by Boro_HP on 30/3 15:57 --- | |
