Did you get tickets? | |

Nope. Seen all the ones I want to see off that list without the added guilt of going to a Diana tribute concert. Keane are very good btw. Did I mention?

I hope Wayne Sleep's been lined up to 'Bez' throughout. It's what England's Rose would have wanted.

I should add, for the sake of full and frank disclosure, that I did attend a Diana tribute concert in 1998 at Althorp House, where the acts included Sir Cliffington Richard, the Lighthouse Family and Chris de Burgh. On the positive side, I came within a couple of yards of bumping into Jill Dando and nearly tripped up Charles Spencer.

But didn't you go to some kind of Diana thingummyjiggy years ago? And, ackshewerly, I've seen Keane. And two of them were at the same RW (ufus ainwright, not obbie illiams) concert as me a couple of months ago. Therefore I will not have a word said against them.

Buddy, I knew it. Sounds like complete and unabridged torture.

It wasn't brilliant. The highlight was when the Lighthouse Family refused to come on for half an hour because they'd noticed a suspicious red light on an amp or something. The space was filled by Jasper Carrott jamming with Jimmy Ruffin and the boy de Burgh on an acoustic guitar and three (sadly live) microphones.

Oh, how we laughed. Himself nearly crashed the car a couple of weeks ago when the eldest piped up from the back and asked us if we had any Lighthouse Family CDs at home. We looked at each other aghast, wondering where we'd gone wrong in her musical education, but it turned out that they had to do a dance to 'Lifted' for a PE lesson. I am currently petitioning to have the teacher suspended. Preferably from a very great height.

I do like "High" but that's as far as it goes.
