£50 eh, cheaper than the hotel. Any reccomendations on bars, places to eat etc, especially as I'm going over a couple of days early, on my own, to go to Auschwitz, and so will have to entertain myself before the other lads get there. | |

If its sunny the bars in the central square are perfect for people watching, not so great for big groups however given that most of them double up as restaurants. Try 'tripadvisor' dot com and search for Krakow forum for specific bar tips for stags. Have a walk up to the castle as well. Also the jewish area, Kazimierz is very atmospheric and was where Schindlers factory was and the film made. I love the place, though I reckon it is actually better for eating out as the restaurants are so cheap and good than just drinking. However I am sure that you will find something to keep you amused. The women are amazing. | |

Ausch is very moving. Try and get there as early as possible to avoid the crowds. What struck me is the scale of it. It is extremely weird walking around a place where so much horror took place. It is difficult to take in. | |

Getting the 7:10 train over to Auschwitz so be there just after opening. So many people have described how moving it is, with one mate saying that it's worse at Birkenau which he described as a "death hypermarket". | |

Yep, there can be something about Aush later in the day that would befit the phrase 'industrial death tourism' which is weird. It is quite uncomfortable asking the hotel clerk for 'one ticket to Auschwitz please.' | |
