For anyone who wants us to get rid of Yak, i would like to know a few things: 1) Who are we going to sign to replace him? ie someone who will score between 15 and 20 goals every single season? 2) Can any of you seriously believe we can attract a striker of higher quality than him? 3) Are you deranged? He might not be irreplacable, but we (boro) just wouldn't be able to replace him. Maybe another team could, but not us. I dont know the stats but i know alot of his goals this season have come from penalties, he does rarely get injured but goes on a run without scoring goal so he might aswell not be playing as thats the whole point in a striker, not only is he not scoring but is not doing anything productive on the pitch. If he did not have viduka playing alongside him then i feel he would have scored less goals ( so if viduka leave then he may aswell ). Spend far too much time out of position, mainly out on the left flank but maybe thats the managements fault for not picking up on it. | |
