Diary of A Nobody

I caught a bit of a documentary about this on BBC4 last night and they're showing a new adaptation of it tonight at 9.00pm. Hope it's as good as the book.

(I feel this thread may not reach ten, never mind a ton...)

Link: Honest, it's very funny

One of those classics I never got round to reading. Had a stab once at the Keith Waterhouse take off 'Mrs Pooter's Diary'. Found it slightly crap so stopped reading. Might give it, and the original, another shot now that I'm all grown up.

That looks good - I like the idea of Edwardians I must say, great outfits and face furniture they wear. That photo could be taken from the other side of any seaview house on the Headland where they all have ancient looking telescopes in the window.

Heard it advertised on Radio 2 this morning. They said that it was an Andrew Davies adaptation, but I didn't realise it was by the same director as Bleak House, which has to be one of the best things I've ever seen on the television.

I bet I forget all about it by tonight.

I read the book and found it outstandingly dull.
