....how do you then convert the file to a format that is compatible to use on a mobile phone (3gp for example). Obviously i need some sort of program, what is the best one to use? | |

I assume you have downloaded video as flv format. All you need is a convertor to 3gp etc. I went to http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/super.cfm and downloaded 'Super' Does a good job in converting | |

I think it'd downloaded as an flv file, that rings a bell anyway although when i click on properties on the video under Type it just says "file" so i'm not sure. | |

Not sure how you are downloading video. I copy the URL and paste to this page. http://youtubevideosdownload.com/download/ don't forget to put .flv after your filename | |

AFTER you downloaded the video file from youtube you can do that with firefox add on. Use Riva FLV Encoder to convert the flv file to anything mpg avi but make sure you change the end Example iraqwar.mpg or iraqwar.avi | |
