Settle down children - both films are excellent in their own way. There is no reason why you can't like both films. Get Carter excels with it's understated menace, great character acting and excellent depiction of the hard, grimy underworld in Newcastle. Long Good Friday is a fast paced view of London's gangsters failing to adapt to a world changing far faster than they can keep up. | |
