FAO:- Fishface

Is that really your house in the comedy thread?

You don't live too far from me, nor from Jade Goody who lives in Ongar IIRC.

re: FAO:- Fishface

yes it is

didnt realise someone on here lived so close

just outside chelmsford on the a414

were moving over to hockley my wifes family is over there

lovely round here just not practical for getting in and out of london for us

re: FAO:- Fishface

I live further East over in Cheshunt, although we're moving to Hitchin within the next few weeks - lot closer to the A1 and just as easy for me to get into the city everyday.

fishface101 Posted on 21/5 21:37
re: FAO:- Fishface

that is the only thing around here isnt it

as much as it is a lovely place to live if you work in the city its a pain in the arsenal

where is chestnut is that over between maldon and colchester?

where were going to is walking distance to the train station

do you drive in or catch the train trains from colchester and chelmsford are a rip off

The_Lizards_Jumpers Posted on 21/5 21:38
re: FAO:- Fishface

Cheshunt is further West, just on the A10 about 5 miles from Harlow.

re: FAO:- Fishface

i really should read things properly at times i thought you said chestnut

its just by waltham abbey really nice round there

we looked at a place recently in enfield lock too built up for us

thats right by that massive res isnt it

how often do you go to the games?

The_Lizards_Jumpers Posted on 21/5 21:57
re: FAO:- Fishface

Yeah just a few miles from Waltham Abbey, which houses Beckham's favorite pie and mash shop.

Enfield Lock is pretty build up, especially compared to where you are now - looks lovely and the house looks similar to the one we've got in Hitchin.

Get to 99% of home games and all the away games south of Birmingham usually. You ?

fishface101 Posted on 21/5 22:16
re: FAO:- Fishface

when i'm not working get there as much as i can

a bit peeved didnt get to any of the london games this season i usually get to all of them the games i was able to get to sold out before i could get hold of tickets

i'll make up for that next season make sure i get to all of em i'll buy the tickets before i organise the time to go instead of the other way around

thats why we didnt go for the place over in enfield

the house was in between the river and the canal over there looked nice but the view was a bit industrial

never thought to look over hitchin way everything looked too built up got put off by the enfield place

never mind the area were moving to is in a wooded conservation area needed somewere bigger so we can start a family

we did try and buy the house next door to ours but the woman wouldnt sell it

the house is cracking really peacefull total darkness at night and total silence too

the most noise we get is on a sunday from the church 2 properties down

really inconsiderate should ask them to keep there hymn singing down a bit

This is like reading a post from Liddle_Towers but when he's been possessed by a normal person!

re: FAO:- Fishface

Hitchin is similar to somewhere like a big version of Yarm / Thirsk, so a nice market town - not as rural as yours by the looks of it but 40 miles north of London so a bit further out than I live now.

I have to put up with 2 pubs within 30 steps of me rather than a church.

fishface101 Posted on 21/5 22:35
re: FAO:- Fishface

at least you have a pub our nearest is a walk across 2 fields and no street lights

sorry dont get the liddle towers thing?

if where you live is like yarm it sounds nice i've been over to waltham abbey a couple of times

very nice place

The_Lizards_Jumpers Posted on 21/5 22:38
re: FAO:- Fishface

Liddle Towers is another poster who posts in short sentences, except without speaking sense like you did, hence Trod's comment.

I wouldn't worry about it.

re: FAO:- Fishface

Will you be anywhere near the magnificently named Conquest Close when you shift, Lizards?

One of my best mates lives there - I'm sure I could get you an invite to a nice friendly poker game there next time I visit him, if you fancy it.

The_Lizards_Jumpers Posted on 22/5 9:17
re: FAO:- Fishface

Not sure to be honest Chutney, although Hitchin isn't that big anyways to be that far from anywhere.

So distance wouldn't be a problem, however my inability to play poker or even a knowledge of the rules may somewhat.

Did you ever need any more information re Northgate or did you not go for it in the end?

Chutney Posted on 22/5 9:37
re: FAO:- Fishface

Northgate never happened in the end. I asked the agency to put me forward but the role had already been filled. No matter - one or two changes see me happy to stay put right now, and Northgate would have been too big anyway - much prefer to work for a smallish company than one of the behemoths.

Can't play poker eh? All the more reason to invite you...
