No More Cheap Flights To Amsterdam????
Just been told that Jet2 are stopping their flights from Newcastle to Amsterdam later this week. Anyone know if this is true, and if so why?

Bad news if it is true as they were a hell of a lot cheaper than KLM from Teesside - up to 75% cheaper last time i went.

You can still fly from leeds quite cheaply though, flew there this time last year for a stag do pretty cheaply

Yes its true - unfortunately. In my very limited experience not as many people are now flying to Amsterdam - I made two trips from Teesside last year on half filled planes. It was a different story with Jet2 from Leeds.

This all means you can have to wait for absolutely hours to connect now in Schiphol. When I fly out to the far east to visit my brother I have to wait 5 hours for a connecting flight on return which is a real killer - makes the journey door to door getting on for 24 hours.

I can't find anything cheaper than £170 to Alicante or Murcia for the last week of July. Fook.

Go on the ferry from Newcastle, it's cheaper, just takes longer.

I`m not sure the ferry is cheaper.
And 1 hour v 12 hours can`t really be compared.

Apparently too much competition is the reason behind the pull-out! Which may actually be good news for the Teesside - Schipol flights..
