...and after a injury ravaged first half to the season in which he looks disinterested and dissatisfied - Will the people on here who are panicking about him not signing and urging Gibbo to sell his gold teeth to keep him here, be the same ones slagging him off, stating that we should never have given him a contract and questioning Southgates managerial qualities for handing a contract to a "fat ageing Australian" ? I reckon so. | |

Of course they will be. The slagging will start a lot sooner than that. I'll give it another 2 weeks and he still wont have made a decision and by the time he has nobody will give a fcuk anyway. | |

Either way, you've got a delightful little thread to hoof in the event  Out of interest, (as you lot have been around here longer than me) at what point does "moaning like a bstard about lack of signings" turn into "I'm worried, very worried" before moving onto "why aren't you lot MORE worried" type of posts? I am concerned that while the Duke takes his time sunning himself on a Croation beach, all our transfer plans revolve around his decision. We should give it until the end of the weekend and if no decision from him we should move on. No player is bigger than the club and in any case we would do well to get one more good season out of him. | |

trog64, Southgate has said that they were looking at rebuilding in a way that wouldn't be destroyed by Viduka leaving. If he does leave, I expect we already know about it and are acting accordingly. | |
