re: Ronni Ancona

Surely you're missing the point.

Your license fee pays for a wide range of services that cater for all, including those that enjoy watching and listening to shyte.

One mans shyte is another mans manure. Just because 99% of the fee paying public think some of the programmes are life wasting doesnt mean that someone somewhere will get a twinge of enjoyment.

Stop being so fkin selfish.

So if 95% of people think a programme is crap, and 5% of people think its good, are you saying thats acceptable?

Pay up or switch off. The choice is simple.

How can you make programmes to please everyone?

We live in a multi cultural society.

Anyway its not just TV and Radio the BBC give us.

re: Ronni Ancona

I did not make any complaints towards the BBC, just saying that last nights programme was rubbish, which i,m sure most people will agree, if i,m paying my t.v fee's then i have a right to my opinion just like anyone does.

And no, i,m not the type of person who writes to points of view.

Of course you do. But if you feel strongly about it posting a message on here wont help much.

Do a FAO Fischer, he's quite high up in the BBC, carries a bit of weight. I think he'll pass on your Ancona concerns.

"So if 95% of people think a programme is crap, and 5% of people think its good, are you saying thats acceptable?"

Er, yeah. That's the whole point. The BBC is a public service broadcaster which is (thankfully) obligated to catering for all tastes, including minority ones. "Something for everyone, and everyone for something," as the old saying goes. If you only want popular programmes watched by 95% of the population, I suggest you watch the endless commercial drivel on ITV or Sky One which only panders to the lowest common denominator in search of ratings.

"ITV or Sky One which only panders to the lowest common denominator in search of ratings."

If only the BBC were different. Apart from the odd decent documentary - none of which are any better than those you can find on sky - the only difference between BBC and ITV is the adverts.

We have more right to complain about BBC programmes than ITV programmes.
