in this mornings Observer.. pompey and harry the twitcher.."were still interested in Mark Viduka, but only if we cant get Yakubu, but were not the only club interested in Viduka, wages might be a problem, though. He wants £60,000 a week, its doubtful we can afford Yakubu, so we would have to consider Viduka's demands"..... they cant afford The Yak..and they cant pay The Dukes wages...two-bob piss pot club........

I thought the way their fans were going on they were awash with cash and ready to mount a title challenge?

Let Arry work his magic fellas. Its all about testing the water with players. Arry is great at it. He will get the players he wants. We are a side on the up but trying to get to the top of the second tier is one thing, breaking into the top 4 is something else. Pompey fans are happy at our dizzy heights already which means no pressure and plenty of support from the crowd next year to push on. Signing players like Distin to help Linvoy, Lauren and Campbell and Muntari to Mendes, Taylor, Krancjar and GON is definitely a good move. We need two strikers to relegate Benjani who works his socks off and Kanu who scored 12! I would like to have seen us get Viduka and Defoe/Farfan who we both made bids on last year. Its a side that could have a good go at europe next year. Boro had a poor year last year and there seems more gloom than anything else at the moment around your team. It could all turn around yet but........

Any Pompey fan who thinks we are awash with cash is seriously deluded.

Don't believe the hype. Money on wages yes, transfer fees no. We spent 5.5m last summer. One of the least in the division. Reckon Sascha is here for a property deal (the ground) and simply wants to keep us in the Prem til then.

Paul Allen has not made a bid as yet and the only signals coming out of both the club and stock market is one of "standing still"! Bale was sold to balance the books. Baird their other stralet has had bids made on him and if he were to go then this would truly be worrying for them. A big boat belonging to a another Russian turned up the other day and they thought it was another sugar daddy but alas, no....! Talk about clutching at straws, Cowes will be getting busier ffs. Of course other boats are turning up! Personally I want them back for the derby's. They were over all to quick. However, a few years in the wilderness won't do them any harm either! As for the money. He has spent money this year but we shall see what is left. Many suspect that Sascha gets his money from super rich Arcadia, his father. His ideas and schemes are big and bold and he must be given the backing by even the most pessimistic Pompey fans (is there another type?).
