Great song whatever though eh. Best version of it I ever heard is in Spanish anyway, by Los Lobos on the soundtrack of the film The Big Lebowski. Scene with Jesus, the pederast (peadophile) bowling ten-pin in his own inimitable style. What a shame he's a pervert.

The Eagles wrote this after they supported Jethro Tull on tour in Europe. They used to watch at the edge of the stage while Tull played their set and Hotel California followed the same chord progression as the Tull song We Used to Know. I'll get my anorak. | |

I saw them too at the Town Hall in April. Bloomin great. Still such enthusiasm for playing live even though they've been doing it for nearly 40 years. | |
