woodgate was always injured until he came to us.

Realistically we can only sign players of that calibre if they have been strugling for one reason or another, in his case with injuries. The Ziege signing was a prime example.

Very good shout Ste. I'd pay £8m for him, no bother.

Not convinced he is good enough, name me some 1st choice players who have left man utd and been successful at their new club - i can only think of Van Nistelroy

I can't see him being anywhere near a first choice if they bring another striker in as is rumoured. Plus isn't that Brazilian lad they signed from Porto a striker?

Always said he's not of the quality of a top 4 club, but he's not exactly been a flop at OT. I'd have him here like a shot, especially with some of the names we're being linked with.

Stepper and BillyA Exactly - Man utd dont sell players that are top class without good reason

Coluka, so you believe he isn't good enough to play for us?

| re: Louis Saha | |
It's a good point about Man U not selling top class players but they do seem to have gone a bit mental in the transfer market as that fierce opposition to their new American owners withers to a little pool of piss behind the stretford end. I get the feeling that Ferguson, remembering everything he learnt on the Govan shipyards, is just going to keep on asking for players until the Glaziers say no. By then the whole of their premiership winning side of last season could be going in cut price deals. --- Post edited by Gillandi on 10/6 14:29 ---

Davenport is going back a fair while to be honest. Wilson hardly got anywhere near the team FFS. Saha isn't comparable. When fit, he gets a game and scores goals. I'd sign him and I wouldn't say there was a doubt over him just because Ferguson let him go. Players leave there all the time that still go on to be good signings for other clubs.

91 goals in 217 games in England isn't bad at all. And 37 in 100 for Man U but thats with 37 appearances being from the bench so you could twist the stats so they say 37 in 63 starts.. very good
