Ever fancied being part of an orchestra?

EVER FANCIED BEING PART OF AN ORCHESTRA BUT THINK YOU WILL BE BORED BY THE MUSIC?

Well here’s a chance not to miss - an orchestral workshop with a difference.
‘Love the Killers - Love your Violin.

Over three days, 23rd , 24th and 25th August there is an opportunity to work with others on music based on the biggest hits of the last 5 years - modern, contemporary, rock, pop pieces will receive brand new arrangements. On Wednesday you will be invited to take part in a World Premier Concert.
Participants will need to be Grade 2 standard upwards to GCSE and probably have to own their own instrument. They will also need to bring a pencil!!

£20 will confirm a place for the three days AND you will be able to keep the music to share with others at a later date.

Judith James, Community Arts project Manager said, ‘ The series of workshops – some have happened, some still to come – have all been made possible through a generous grant from Awards For All. Without this money, much of the programme would not have happened, other activities would have cost participants much more’.

Places on the Making Musis session should be reserved by 2 July. Booking forms are available by contacting hexagontheatre@yahoo.co.uk or 07730 896844.

This thread brings back memories

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt; I used to play the violin and be in an orchestra.
