Los Campesinos!

Following my sucessful predictions that We Start Fires, Nic Armstrong, Das Wanderlust and Vincent Vincent and The Villans are the future of rock and roll, all of which have been proved correct as they stormed up the charts and flew of the shelves of Tescos everywhere.

My latest prediction of great bands to watch is Los Campesinos! whose single You! Me! Dancing! is absolutely brilliant and I cant stop playing the EP.

re: Los Campesinos!

Haven't heard it but I like the title - not exclamation marks in song titles these days.

Did you get tickets for Robbie Williams, btw?

re: Los Campesinos!

We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives is another of their's, so they like a title.

If it's puctuation floats your boat Mrs 2 check out modern disco divas !!! (pron. Chick, Chick, Chick for no apparent reason).

I can imagine them being liked by those lucky few that don't need to be drunk to dance.

I havent yet, I must admit I completely forgot they'd even gone on sale.

I'll try and get them for Harrogate if they're not sold out already.

Hadn't heard of them until I saw them at the O2 festival in Leeds. Thought they were pretty good. The womans voice and different instruments made a pleasant change from watching 4 young lads in skinny jeans jump about the stage with guitars.

Having said that the Pigeon Detectives stold the show by a country mile

re: Los Campesinos!

I saw chk chk chk / !!! twice at Glastonbury and they were possibly the best thing I saw there (along with Bjork. And Arcade Fire.). They have to be the tightest live band I've ever seen in my life.

re: Los Campesinos!

Known about these for a while, their lead singer posts on a forum I go on. Namely in the "Los Campesinos!" thread he made in 2006 I think.

And yeah, they're good.
