Shouldnt be too bad now as they have built a massive new dual carraigeway direct to the circuit from the motorway.

It doesn't really matter what carpark you are in, its absolute gridlock getting away, given you have around 100,000 people (I think that's about the figure) and the first part of the journey is village lanes all trying to get onto the A43.

(EDIT having seen the post above - its a while since I've been there)

It is all very nice and motorwayed now Tomo, I drove round there last night for a look before doing battle at the weekend. Problem is Sunday afternoon is time critical and I'm wondering if there's any benefit to getting the bus.

Is it the british GP this weekend? I'm driving back from North East London on Satuday - If i go M11 - A14 - A1, will I miss the crowds? If not, what time should I avoid?

Or is it at the race-track that's down near brighton?

M11/A14/A1 will keep you well clear of any crowds. Even the M1 isn't normally that bad.
