Dear fmttm faithful, we're holding our first Diamond Dogs Weekend Sessions at the Empire this Friday and it would be great to see a few of you down. When we were promoting it on here a few months ago we got some very good feedback and many people wishing they could pop along to our regular Monday nights at Basement, but couldn't due to work commitments. I'll save you the speil, but feel free to check out our myspace and website for photos and playlists on more of what we do. Diamond Dogs : Weekend Sessions @ The Empire Friday 13th July 2007 10pm - 2am / 5 pounds entry all night / 18+ Please bring ID. For those who aren't familiar with Diamond Dogs the club is open to everyone and attracts a friendly crowd looking for something more from a night out. We play 60's Guitar sounds, Soul, Britpop, Rock, Glam and lots of other gems you don't realise you've forgotten. See you Friday | |

I think I was one of the aforementioned Monday night lamenters. Can't do this week's, but is this Friday shindig going to be a regular affair? Or even semi-regular? Sporadic? What's the sid-uation? | |

Our average age at the Basement Diamond Dogs is closer to 23/24 than 16, which is rare nowadays. Plus thats on a Monday, so tomorrow i'd imagine it to be even older as the "responsible weekday lot" can join in the fun. Our drinks offers there are brilliant: £2.00 Newcastle Brown Ale Btls £1.50 Red Stripe Cans £1.50 Fosters Cans £1.50 Scrumpy Jack Cans £1.50 VS Alcopops £1.00 Corkeys Shots The drinks offers for the Empire tomorrow won't be as cheap as that, but definately cheaper than a Saturday. We were told 2.50 pints and a good spirit deal so it'll be all good in the hood. Blaises Revival: yep, every Thursday the old Rock/Metal/Hardcore DJ's are in there doing their thing. Great night! Glur: Rum, yes, straight. The man Sharratt is sorting a fun bus from your neck of the woods tomorrow so i'm told, would be good to see you. Sounds alright. Once every 3 months is a bit few and far between. I can't come tonight but if you put a heads up on here everytime its on i'm sure a few of us would try it. | |
