my mate as just bought a new mouse for his pc,the old one didn't work,this one doesn't appear to work either,anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be?and a solution please. | |

Are these USB mice? Nowadays most are. If so have you tried inserting in a different USB slot? Do other USB devices work? | |

Is it serial or USB? If Serial and he has USB ports - get a USB mouse If a USB - and check if any other USB devices work - and if he has a serial port, get a serial one (or a serial converter) | |
