it helps if you play teams thatare behind you in the fitness programme for the new season. itaian teams don't kick off for 4 weeks The boro have played teams ahaead of them in fitness for the entire pre-sason campaign | |

well if we are going off pre season results then hartlepool and carlisle must be better than juventus and celtic as they gave newcastle a better game when newcastle had a better team out. I wouldnt read to much into pre season its mostly about fitness | |

I think they are in for a decent season. Right manager, plenty of investment, fan base and injured platers ( notably Owen) back from injury. Won't go down well on here like ! | |

If we achieve this, I KNOW then that we are going somewhere, because, as they have double our support, and are generally expected to achieve success, if we get anywhere near them we are doing well. We finished above them last season, but most Boro fans were fairly unhappy with how the season panned out, myself included. Would you rather finish above them again next season, or beat them home and away? | |
