Legend

Maybe if we play him in the correct position

and where might that be?

re: Fabio Rochemback

Against Liverpool at Anfield last season, ball bobbled loose around the half way line and he absolutely smashed it high into the kop and conceded a corner from about 45 yards.

I think he was aiming at hitting one of the Liverpool players with the ball outa frustration.

Matty, was it Wigan away last season?

re: Fabio Rochemback

I heard he can eat two full Parmos in 10 minutes.

Mattyk50 Posted on 1/8 11:44
re: Fabio Rochemback

yeah it was the wigan one i was thinking of.

completely forgot about the one towards his own goal from the halfway line!

re: Fabio Rochemback

I remember Woodaget just STARING at him when he did that.

"WHAT THE FOOK DID YOU DO THAT FOR?"

sasboro Posted on 1/8 11:48
re: Fabio Rochemback

can anyone confirm if he signed a 5 year contract or a 3 year contract with an option for another 2?

Table_Football Posted on 1/8 11:49
re: Fabio Rochemback

I've STILL not seen the Liverpool one.

The one at Wigan was a bit strange, he did loads of work, beat a few players and the just hammered it into the stand. I think he was aiming for the empty corner, and to get it out of the ground.

He did it again later in the match, a sort of two footed jumping volley.

re: Fabio Rochemback

heres why we should keep the faith with his long range free kicks

I think the problem is that other players aren't on Rochemback's 'wavelength'.

Turner_86 Posted on 1/8 11:51
re: Fabio Rochemback

I think he should grow his hair back long again, he's never been the same player since he changed it the that frizzy thing that he's got.

not a fan of the perm turner?

re: Fabio Rochemback

Nah, I seriously think it takes something away from his game.

Maddren_Madman Posted on 1/8 11:54
re: Fabio Rochemback

if we signed him on a 5 someone must have been smoking banana skins in the office that day.

not sure what the point of contracts is really anyway, players goes if he wants to and club get's rid if it wants to regardless.

hate it when papers and tv say 'he's committed to the club for 5 years' when a new contract is signed. no he isnt. they're often away within 6 months

re: Fabio Rochemback

My dad regularly goes down to hurworth to watch the team train. The one player who always stands out according to him, is rochembach. Apparently awesome in training.

Lets have some of it on the pitch please.

"I think the problem is that other players aren't on Rochemback's 'wavelength'."

I agree with that!

When he played alongside Arca, another 'proper' footballer, he shone and with Tuncay added to the team I suspect that will also help!

Towell Posted on 1/8 12:33
re: Fabio Rochemback

Everyone says he's class in training like.

Turner_86 Posted on 1/8 12:33
re: Fabio Rochemback

I agree too, you could see not one of the other players new he was going to launch the ball out into the stand, if they had, they'd have been up in the stand waiting for it.

re: Fabio Rochemback

I'm keeping the faith. Don't know why but I believe he will score something spectacular one if these days. We may lose a few in the ground due to friendly fire, but what the hell.

re: Fabio Rochemback

rochembach reminds me of emerson. but without the shooting ability

heaton_mersey_boro Posted on 1/8 12:46
re: Fabio Rochemback

Can't help him playing alongside Boateng, Cattermole or whichever player supposed to be playing right midfield this week. Has'nt got a clue what they are/will be doing.

As was mentioned, linked up well with Arca, and indeed Downing. Needs to play with more intelligent players, so linking up with Tuncay may prove to be a good move.

Then again, knowing Rochemback, it might not......

JLinardi Posted on 1/8 12:52
re: Fabio Rochemback

"Emerson without the shooting ability".

Tosh.

Rohembacks shooting is ace, he just doesnt get into the positions Emerson used to. Remember the one he cracked in against basel when Massimo scored the rebound?

PoetLaureate Posted on 1/8 12:54
re: Fabio Rochemback

He will be good this season if we are playing a more attacking game! will suit him loads

Corcaigh_the_Cat Posted on 1/8 13:04
re: Fabio Rochemback

Aye, as they're all streaming forward he'll be able to turn round, face his own goal then arse about with it.

BossHogg Posted on 1/8 13:05
re: Fabio Rochemback

Our problem is recent seasons have been our midfield's ability to pass and then move into space! Far too often it's pass and slowly move 5 yards backwards, which limits a players options when looking to find a team mate! Also, the imbalance of our team as been shocking, we have been entirely dependant on the left hand side making us easy to mark!

Rochemback, and our centre backs, will benefit hugely from a balanced side!

Who are you talking about Corcaigh_the_Cat Cattermole
