| New "tickets", a bit annoyed! | |
Got my new credit card style season tickets this morning, and I have noticed that my ticket has a prefix "A", which, accroding to the blurb, equates to the old S and T prefixes, meaning I have been a loyal, long-time supporter. The ticket for my son, (which arrived at the same time) has an "L" prefix, because he missed last season (the first for many, many years) due to him going away to University. I explained all this in my application, and hoped that sense would prevail and that we would both have "A" prefixes. It will mean now that as and when we have a big cup game, we are going to have to apply for tickets separately, with no gaurantee that he would get a ticket. Do you think its worth trying to get the prefix changed, or am I being a tw*t?

That has always been a case. You could a have been a red book holder for 10 years, miss a season and you're back to white.

Happens to everyone who misses a year i'm afraid.

The only problem I can think of is, anyone could give it a miss for a year or two, and give an excuse so they can go back to an ST prefix or now an A. So, that's why the club are a bit ruthless when it comes to the prefix. Also, in a few years, it will be decided on reward points anyway, so as long as you and your son keep going, eventually you'll be rewarded. --- Post edited by Turner_86 on 1/8 13:36 ---

You could have fixed this problem. if you explained to the club BEFORE your son went away they can put his seat and ticket on hold for a year thus when returning he could have continued being a prefix A or whatever.

What if I had a season ticket 20 years ago and not one since until this year, would I get an A prefix? Didn't think so.

Don't worry, the numbering will have rubbed off by Christmas, then we'll all be equal.

I've just queried in a post further below what the number after the prefix 'A' means and apparently it doesn't mean anything. Wonder who is A1 or A1876 and if they're like cherished number plates which go for daft amounts of money

makes no difference any more anyway. we dont sell out and fa cup semi final tickets ended up on general sale. only needed for something like uefa cup final in a small stadium but thats not going to happen anytime soon

your nt being a tw@t, is a little harsh but if hes gone to uni is that not a minimum of 3 years so why he/you afford one this year and not last? i went to uni for 4 years travelled back for the games but i have to admit if i could of missed a season and kept my s book status i would have

dogs: He goes to Northumbria University, and initially we thought it might be too much of a hassle (as he doesn't drive) to come down, especially in midweek. That coupled with the fact his finances have been stretched with Uni etc. Another reason I renewed for him this year is that my eldest son suddenly started to get interested in going, and the intention is for them to share a few games.

In order to sell tickets I would think MFC would provide any prefix that is required from those prepared to shell out on a ST.

dont want to piss on your parade..... but if you read the small print..its illegal to 'share' a season ticket !..named person only. as in all sales, offers and insurance policies..'The BIG print giveth, and the small print taketh AWAY.

| re: New "tickets", ! | |
Oh yer because they're always asking for ID on the door to prove thats your ticket. And it's not illegal is it, it might break the terms and conditions but that doesn't mean its 'illegal' --- Post edited by Towell on 1/8 14:33 ---

"In order to sell tickets I would think MFC would provide any prefix that is required from those prepared to shell out on a ST." what the fook is that supposed to mean? "Hello, I'd like to buy a new season ticket" "Certainly sir, what prefix would you like on that? And would you like us to get Roary to give you a quick furrywank while you make your mind up..."
| TeeSv Posted on 1/8 14:55 | |
| re: New "tickets", ! | |
in that case....'I'll have A1876 please and while you're down there Roary...'

So are posts that say "these posts are boring" or "this has already been said", obviously the people posting about it are inerested so why hold it against them that they may have missed a thread. The patron number thing is a joke and should\will be replaced by a loyalty bonus scheme.
