hull in for riggott..

shoooorly not.....

wigan, brum, sunlun-nil, or even citeh would go for riggs, before he went to hull.

If he leaves he should go to Birmingham

They'd have Queudrue, Riggott and Parnaby in their defence!

How funny.

Yes, I can see us selling a centre-back at the moment.

The rumours are that they were preparing a £1 million bid, that's about £2 million less than he's worth, maybe even more than that.

He's too good for that tinpot outfit. Not good enough for us though.

dava has already turned hull down, even though they offered to treble his wages.

Can't faulter Hull's ambitions this Season like. They seem to be reaching for targets way higher than any of their League opponents.
I know Riggott isn't up there with Cannavaro and Puyol but hes a solid defender and would be great for Hull.

re: hull in for riggott..

On Sports Talk on BBC Radio Humberside last night they had an interview with the new chairman. He said that they had a £1 million pound bid in for a central defender but the deal was touch and go depending on what was happening at the club (i.e. our injuries at the moment)

Quite a few callers were turning on their new owner already saying he was 'all talk' and weren't impressed with the arrivals so far after being promised 'big' signings (Juninho).

On the subject of Juninho the owner said that they had 'done the deal' easily agreed financial issues with the player but then at the 11th hour a £1 million pound bonus was requested to be put in his contract if City were promoted to the Premiership whilst Juninho was still there was a player which obviously the other playing staff would be a tad miffed about so he queried Juninho's motives for wanting to sign/play for City.

Riggott is a Prem player imo

I think his confidence was low last season and he was hardly fit. He did enough in the 2003-2006 period to show he is prem class.

To sell him for £1m would be daft unless he is close to a Bosman and on big wages and swap him for someone it would be difficult to buy for straight cash

'dava has already turned hull down, even though they offered to treble his wages'
Is that a fact?

re: hull in for riggott..

I heard something like that too. Davies really doesn't want to leave Boro, unless he really has to.

re: hull in for riggott..

theres no doubting that davies has the boro in his heart and soul

but it seems clear that he wont be #1 choice here this season..and £1M isnt so bad for him..after all we let parnaby go for nowt, when really a small fee was called for.....i wonder if he was offerd to charlton as part of the luke young deal ?
