Some of them are ar$£hole$, I was at Wigan and there was 4 grown men infront of me who booed everytime Downing touched the ball and shouted "F*** OFF TO TOTTENHAM" everytime he got anywhere near the ball, any pass he made didn't go to a red shirt or any shot he had didn't hit the back of the net. Morons. --- Post edited by Smog_Side_of_Life on 24/8 10:41 ---

Someone who would prefer to watch the GP over the Boro on TV is not a fan.

SSL - same at Fulham. You've got to wonder what these so called 'fans' actually want.

Whinging, moaning, barracking our own players, ill-informed prejudice - all part of the Boro experience. Love it or hate it, it ain't going to change.

""Nah....the Grand Prix`s on telly" If my mate said that as an excuse he wouldnt be a mate anymore. What a raging homosexual

thats what people are like where i sit they barrack rocky as well, no matter how bad boeteng plays infact boeteng made a shockin pass in a match last season and someone blamed rocky, was very funny indeed

The fans just want to do what suits themselves on the day, and so they should. If they want to boo then go for it, as long as there's a bit of passion, rather than the soulless fookers that I'll be sat amongst in the north west corner on Sunday. The fans that are gash are those that do fook all but moan about other fans. If you're that bothered then get up and sing, it's like a fooking morgue at the Riverside.

TBF I agree, it makes you wonder what these people want. There was one point against Wigan when Downing was about 20 yards away from the ball and he sprinted past the full back to try and keep it in but failed to do so, the so called 'fans' infront were jumping up and down furious and calling for him to be sold! I would just rather these tosspots didn't go, I'd rather have a half empty away end than a full one with numbskulls like these 'fans' in it.

you can be passionate without slating ur own players u no.b

If they think they deserve it then go for it. You stick to unwrapping the sweets when you get worked up.

How does Downing deserve Booing for touching the ball? He's a local lad not a foreign mercenary on £60,000 Get Behind him FFS

You glory seekers don't know what booing is!
| toxic_bob Posted on 24/8 11:12 | |

I'd rather have some honest potty-mouthed barracking than any amount of happy seal clapping

Everybody has a right to boo, you've paid youre money and made the effort to turn up. If the performance by an individual or as a team is awful of course you have every right to tell them how you feel, its constructive. I've booed individual and collective performances, there's players I don't like who play everyweek. But when they put on that shirt you should give them your support, hence the term 'supporters'. What is not constructive is morons who don't like certain players and boo them for either: A) Touching the Ball (Downing) or B) Stepping on the pitch (Jason Euell). What sort of message does that send to the team? Some of our supporters are complete and utter idiots.

"Just asked a lad at work if he`s going to the match;" it gets worse i asked a woman at work and she said nah i'm going shopping. no idea if she is fan though

sasboro - maybe i should have said, but this lad is a fan. Just can`t be bothered turning up at the games.....

The truth is most grounds are occupied by people who simply sit there and contribute nothing. The clubs might as well have balloons with faces painted on attached to the seats.

Archie, there is more people on Tyneside with that attitude than there is on Teesside, just as there is more fans on Tyneside who will do everything they can to make it to the game, than there is on Teesside.

So Lamb and his 'we'll make more revenue through the extra gate receipts from the non-season ticket holders' proves to be gash, what a shocker.

Typical eh not going to the match. Anybody would think football was too expesnive to watch. Oh wait....

And speaking of Lewis Hamilton, he really pisses me off too. Or rather his Dad does. I'd only just gotten used to the idea that I was older than Grand Prix drivers. It never used to be like that with Mansell and Prost. But anyway, I can live with that. But not being older than Grand Prix drivers Dads. Thats not right. And everytime young Lewis picks up some points, theres his Dad, glugging champagne and flaunting his comparative youth. I just know there'll be some fooker there with a grandad younger than me next. Go to the match instead. At least you wont know which of the youngsters in the crowd are the players parents.

The Downing thing is pure jealousy...its local boy made good so lets hammer the flash tw8t "who does he think he is" type of attitude. It f8cking stinks to be honest but its nothing new, weve always had moaning b8stards at the game and always will.Like ive said before on here not too long ago Viduka was a fat l8zy bast8rd and should be sold but when he did go.... the club have been hammered for not doing enough to keep him by some.......its all about opinion at the end of the day

fan - might go to the occassional game and or watch it on tv when he isnt doign something else and looks out for results supporter - goes to 50% of games whenhe can, but other things take priority and wil happily watch it in teh pub to savea few quid for other things season ticekt supporter- goes to most games with a season ticket but may miss some due to work and family commitments super fan - goes to every game without fail, with sacrifice anything to make a game, pays for his season ticket the day it comes through the post. never understands why poeople have a life and commitments outside football
