Its just a song.Its obviously not true.They sang it to wind you up, and possibly him.The way people are going on about it on here you'd think they'd shot him. To be honest, that chant is not the one that bothered me. It just shows how class free and wit free the average NUFC supporter is. The ones insinuating Mido was a terrorist however, are much more serious. | |

If you can't see what the "big deal" is then there is something wrong with you. The chants about Paedophilia and terrorism against someone that is simply playing football are a disgrace. The Paedo chants are stereotypical about a RUMOUR that was started by someone educated in Newcastle that got it wrong and the terrorism chants were nothing but racist. The FA should be getting involved in this and punishing Newcastle somehow. Their fans that joined in with these chants were an absolute disgrace and gave Newcastle United a bad name. | |

I'm sorry but saying this isn't a big deal is an absolute joke. It IS a big deal. The same way that black english players getting monkey chants directed at them abroad is a big deal. Just a shame that not enough people seem to take it serisouly and it still goes on. Oh, and on the 'they sang it to wind you up' front i genuinely didn't hear anything of the chants during the match. I thought they were singing 'Mido, Mido' sarcastically after he gave the ball away, apparently they were singing 'P**do, P**do'? Like i say i didn't hear it like that myself and no one around me reacted or said anything. It obviously didn't work then. | |

Seems to me that The Frog had too much ale last night and his own petty prejudices come spilling out - possibly. Anyway anybody who thinks its a harmless piece of winding up or even banter ought to reassess their own morals. The fact is that the target himself was reported as very upset and there's the point. Completely agree with Bandito. The stewards should have just starting hand picking out supporters chanting it until they stopped and the police should have supported this (there was enough of them!) Keep reducing their allocation every year until they know how to act like normal fans, if they dont they have no allocation, simple! The FA should support that. There is no room for sick chants and racism. | |

A while back, a Blunderland fan I work with tried to defend the singing of THOSE songs, by saying it was banter. I told him, that if I threatened him with a good kicking, "would that also be banter?". Obviously, if I did threaten him at work, he'd run to my boss to put a complaint in. | |
