re: GOOD MORNING

I hope like hell Heerenveen comes down on price because I think Kone is gone to Seville. But even if they do will we be able to get him in before friday. His work permit will probably be turned first time around so we will have to appeal. Just have to trust Garth and Gibson. Love the way he has the teamed played like a team and taking the game to people. That is the Boro I started supporting.

ray192 Posted on 27/8 6:27

I agree with you yes it was good . But playing Boateng r/w is an absolute joke ffs .

Hiya ray, am very good ta but a bit tired after the excitement yesterday. Lets hope the lads can keep on improving, even Merson was positive on Showtime yesterday, mind he was sat next to Derek Whyte so he would ned to be!!

It is Ray, just hoping Garth pulls a rabbit and a right winger out of his hat before Friday. There are just a bunch of rumors so just hope there is fire with the smoke.

Ray

The signs look good mate but no r/w testerday really let us down AGAIN i might add .

ray192 Posted on 27/8 6:36
re: GOOD MORNING

O_B

Well the r/w situation must be addressed or it will be like last seasons finishing place for me sadly.

Orlando2Boro Posted on 27/8 6:51
re: GOOD MORNING

We have to finish in top 10 this here or it be harder to attract quality next year. So if we want to build as Gibson says he wants too we have to do it this year. If it is not the with a couple of more players then the ones we have, have to step every match this season.

ray192 Posted on 27/8 6:55
re: GOOD MORNING

I think is possible if we get a couple of players in one must be a r/w and the other i would like would be a box to box m/f player .

Middlesbrough chairman hits back at Viduka claims
tribalfooball.com - August 26, 2007

Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson is happy to seek the back of Mark Viduka.
Viduka claimed his drawn-out switch to Newcastle was prompted by Gibson's failure to hand him a new contract soon enough.

But Gibson hit back: "That's not true. I was told very early it was about money and Mark would go to the highest bidder."

Middlesbrough's Woodgate to win England return
tribalfooball.com - August 26, 2007

Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate is set to win an England recall for the crunch Euro2008 qualifier against Russia.
Woodgate returned to full training last week and played in Boro's 2-2 draw with Newcastle yesterday.

That gives him an outside chance of a recall because England boss Steve McClaren's squad has been rocked by injuries.

Woodgate said: "I hope when I'm playing again I'll be in the squad."

Morning mate i'm very good thanks how are you? . A point i suppose after being behind twice you would accept that but i still think playing the Boat on the r/w is what cost us a win in the end he's never a r/w ffs . Yes two good games from the Tykes and it's ours i think . A bacon buttie in Ciabatta and a pot of Yorkshire there you go .

Red tape holds up Yakubu move from Boro to Everton
Mon 27 Aug 2007, 5:43 GMT

[-] Text [+] LONDON (Reuters) - The 11.25 million pound transfer of Nigerian Yakubu Aiyegbeni from Middlesbrough cannot be completed because the striker has been refused a new work permit, buying club Everton said on Sunday.

Although the 24-year-old has played in England since January 2003 when he joined Portsmouth from Maccabi Haifa, he quit playing for Nigeria in 2006 so now fails to meet the British Home Office requirement of involvement in 75 percent of his country's internationals in the last two years.

Everton said on their Web site (www.evertonfc.com) they have appealed against the decision and expect to hear the result on Wednesday.

Yakubu left Portsmouth for Middlesbrough in 2005 and has scored 35 goals in 104 cup and league appearances for the north east club.

He played in Middlesbrough's first two games of the season but has not featured in their last two, including Sunday's 2-2 draw against Newcastle United.

Everton, who will compete in this season's UEFA Cup, decided to move for Yakubu after selling James Beattie to relegated Sheffield United and losing two key attacking players, Tim Cahill and James Vaughan, to injuries.

A Middlesbrough spokesman said the clubs had agreed a fee for the player but that the deal had not yet been completed.

Morning Ray and everyone from a balmy scabbyborough

Hows thing Ray?

I was gutted we didn't get the win that i thought we deserved yesterday. I thought Arca and Rocky did well in centre M/F and ran the show. The Boat on the R/W was plain daft - was Johnson injured? We definitely shaded the match

Bacon and Lincolnshire sausage sarnie with a hint of Tabasco please and a Yorkshire tea in my usual mug mate

I still believe we will have a flurry of transfer activity soon.

Ray
i am 'reet gradely' as us yorkshiremen say

Over the next 10 months we need to sign

A first choice keeper - skippy is losing the plot
A first choice right winger (asap)
A box 2 box M/F
A 20 goal a season striker
A left back (to keep tayls on his toes and for cover)
If we do that, i honestly believe we can be a top 6 team. I reckon 35M should do it so with the Yak money and Sky money at end of this season i believe we will be a force sooner rather than later

Come on Boro

If Scwarzer is losing the plot then Lehmann has lost every line in th eplay.

From what I've seen you've still got one of the best keepers around. There are not that many better out there at the moment.

Morning. Hope you dont mind me tresspassing in the cafe but I am surprised you think that way about your goalie.

When he starts to make errors like our keeper and the one up the road in Tottenham then you may have real reason to question him. From what I saw last week at Fulham he kept you in it at 1-0 down with a great save from Healey. That's worth a lot. He is also still one of the best cross catchers in the game. So what he cant boom it down the middle like others.

re: GOOD MORNING

totally agree Dynamo, everybody knows Boateng is not a right midfielder but he got on with the task in hand. He's not a creative midfielder but he is a battler and he did a great spoiling job out there. Yes he faded second half but he gave it everything. Nzogbia's cut inside for their goal aside he didn't get shown up. For performing as he did out of position he did well and was my man of the match.
As regards signings I think a right winger/midfielder is almost a more pressing need than a striker. If we only got one more signing and it was a midfielder I'd be happy.

It has always amazed me how the Home Office should place restrictions on players who are coming here to pay 10-15 grand a week in tax and contribute to the upkeep of the country but just wave through all sorts of scumbags who are here on the lug.

re: GOOD MORNING

He is 3 years old now. I wonder what will happen when he gets older. The dog had a very difficult birth, he didnt get enough O2. And it looks like that is one reason for the epilepsy. He takes tabletts for 7 months now. But the fits happen quicker and quicker. (The worst thing is, they don't even have appropriate tabletts for dogs. He has to take the tabletts that are for children.)
