Southgate hails Mido's Middlesbrough commitment
tribalfooball.com - September 24, 2007

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has hailed the commitment to the cause shown by Mido.

Southgate was ready to replace him before the break against Sunderland with Lee Cattermole stripped on the sidelines, but the Egyptian was determined to play on.

Southgate said: "He epitomises the spirit in the dressing room. It was clear that he had a problem with his hamstring.

"We assumed we needed to get him off, but he wanted to stay on. We knew he would be limited by it and in the end, sometimes you have to save him from himself because there is always the risk of doing more damage in that situation.

"I think he realised that it was too limiting for him as the game went on.

"But you can only admire his desire to stay out there and battle for his team-mates."

Morning Ray. Not bad.

It's flipping warm here though. End of September it's supposed to start cooling off but 32 degrees forecast for tomorrow and I've gorn and switch off the air conditioning.

Global warming no doubt.

O'Neil pleased with full Middlesbrough debut
tribalfooball.com - September 24, 2007

Gary O'Neil was happy with his full debut for Middlesbrough in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Sunderland.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the game," the 24-year-old told Boro's website. "I thought it was a decent performance and we did quite well considering all the injuries we picked up along the way.

"I work as hard as I can, I try and give everything I've got, so hopefully the fans will see that from me.

"They gave me a great reception and it was really pleasing and I'd like to thank them for that.

"The pitch and the players are completely different to those at Portsmouth as is the style of play and it takes a bit of getting used to.

"But I've been lucky enough to have three weeks' training with the lads and I'm fitting into things really well."

Ring Londesborough Motors in Scabbyborough and ask them for a price. If not cheaper for the same tyres, (i'll be surprised) but tell them then the price quoted by Krap-Fit, They will beat it then, i am sure.

Good Luck anyway

re: GOOD MORNING

Morning mate hows it cookin today.

Imagine this scene I am reversing onto my drive after Saturdays match, still seething from the result. I get out of my car, this fella walks past with his dog dressed in a doggy size jacket and its fookin red and white stripes. He said to me, you reversed in their a bit quick, you ought to be more careful. His dog then proceeds to piss against my wall. That was it I said thank you for your kind well meaning advice and poured the remains of a can of coke over his dogs jersey and said in future dont ever let your dog piss against my wall - now fook off.

I would never normally have behaved in such a manner, i woulkd have just ignored him probably, but a fookin dog in a red and white striped jersey pisses against your wall after Scumderland did that to us on Saturdayand well.....

Needless to say i got a bollocking from 'er indoors and had to make my own fookin tea too.

I can see the funny side now though - haven't seen the fella and his dog since though

Bacon sarnie please mate

re: GOOD MORNING

Morning Raymondo..Overcast and crap here on the Riviera...Good news about Mido and Tucay but not For Julio but at least we are well served in midfield with Rocky playing better than at anytime since he arrived but it's a big blow to lose him for 2 months...another cricket season over but it doesnt seem five minutes since we played Surrey at the Oval in the first game....I see that Javed Miandad is slagging off the amount of mickey mouse cricket we are playing now and not calling it real cricket (he must have been reading this board) he goes on to say that we are losing our focus on what is (real) cricket and the circus that is the mickey mouse game. Never been a great fan of Javed but he has gone up a few notches in my estimation of him...Think I'll have the full monty today please.
