Morning Ray me ol' mucker, Dry and pitch black at Scabbyborough

Have you noticed how other board members have started to refer to the town as Scabbyborough too - I've started a trend
If it continues i may have to declare UDI and apply for founder status and have the towns name officially changed (Oh and declare myself the King)

How's things with you mate?

I could not sleep for some reason,

Would love a nice cup of tea with 2 bacon baps (as you know i appreciate lovely baps)

How did Newcastle get on against Arsenal reserves last night ( Mwahahahaha)

C'MON BORO

LOL

Any team news for tonight ? Personally if Woody is fit and playing, i would put Wheater up front with the gook or Craddock and bring in Riggott for one game.

I am sure Wheater could do a job, hold up the ball and unsettle the spuds centre back (but hey what do i know)

Southgate: Middlesbrough kids deserve chance
tribalfooball.com - September 25, 2007

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate says youngsters Tom Craddock, 20, and Ben Hutchinson, 19, deserve their chance in tonight's Carling Cup tie at Tottenham.
Southgate said: "Both lads have been scoring regularly for the reserves so they deserve the chance to travel with the squad."

Influential midfielder Julio Arca is missing after sustaining a medial knee ligament injury against the Black Cats and, with O'Neil suspended, Southgate has included 19-year-old untested winger Graeme Owens.

Middlesbrough put on-hold striker search
tribalfooball.com - September 25, 2007

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has cooled talk of adding a free agent to his striker pool.
The Evening Gazette says the manager has temporarily dropped plans to bring in a non-contract striker.

Middlesbrough boss wants more from Downing
tribalfooball.com - September 25, 2007

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has challenged Stewart Downing to improve his scoring record this season.
Downing became the club's top scorer this campaign with his third strike in the Tees-Wear derby against Sunderland on Saturday.

The 22-year-old left winger has a key role to play in Wednesday's Carling Cup third round tie against Tottenham at White Hart Lane, especially as Boro can call on only Dong Gook Lee as their one experienced striker.

"I spent a lot of time last year trying to convince Stewart that he is capable of scoring a lot more goals," said Southgate.

"He scored twice last year and could have done better but he needed the belief and the confidence that the goals would come.

"Now he realises that if he keeps getting into position and having a pop at goal that they can continue to come.

"He's got three already this season and you can see the difference in him when he gets in the goal area.

"As a wide player you are going to get two or three opportunities in every game.

"I can't see any reason at all why he can't get to double figures this season if he continues to keep the bit between his teeth."

re: GOOD MORNING

Morning Ray, how are you?

Definitely some blue sky trying to break through here in Consett.

Gutted about Saturday - we should have buried them but we're just not taking our chances at the moment. Looking on the bright side though - little George Jastie (1 month old) is now a season ticket holder in the West Stand Lower. It does mean the seat next to me will be empty until he's old enough to go (6 months do you think?) but it will still make more noise than the fella who used to sit there. No wonder they call it the Werther's Original Stand.

Nearly forgot - tea and toast please.

P.S. Do you have an imaginary cafe somewhere else that someone tried to blow up?

re: GOOD MORNING

Ray

She hasn't returned home yet

She was last seen setting up camp at Creswell craggs and securing her arsenal of weapons (rolling pin, whisk and flour bombs).

BREAKING NEWS!!!! - Apparantly she was last seen with her sniffer dog following the movements of a large group of Creswell Tarts in the vicinity of a much renowned cafe cum wine bar, they were said to have mysteriously disappeared once inside. Rumours of a secret passageway and underground control centre are rife but as yet it remain undiscovered.

Oh and the whisk is said to be 'electric'

Be careful mate as she has not taken her evening primrose oil with her either

re: GOOD MORNING

Ray

I would first pray she hasn't got the extension cable with her as the whisk only has a 3 foot lead so make sure you are nowhere near a socket if found

Secondly ask the Creswell tarts to remove their clothing (shouldn't take long) and you could make a giant catapult from their bras to propel yourself to safety.

A note of caution, try to avoid any activity with the Creswell tarts that may lead to lots of noise after their clothing is discarded (I may be asking too much of you there though i feel )
