Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Come on lets have a laugh at your old School photos. Here's one of me at Ayresome School aged 7 1971

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Fooking hell Trev, a life in pictures. I always had to send my school photo's back. My parents didn't have thirty bob to keep a record of my dental progress.

I recognise the two guys to your immediate right there Trev...both followed you to Boynton...cant remember their names but as footballers, they were lightweights.

Nice brown ball though. Are we that old?

Cheers Trev..god yeah Benny and Phil Murray....havent seen them since we left in 1980.

Good to see Boynton School forging into the 1980s with some streamlined, minimalist wallpaper. Goodbye 1970s, it's a bold new look for a brave new decade.

TTTeesside_Trev Posted on 8/10 1:47
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

GillAndi- Back row from the left- Teacher John Gooding, Neil Webster, Phil Jackson, goalie= Mitch, Russ Grifiths, Clacky.
Front row from the left- I can't remember, Neil Stainthorpe, Alan Oxley, Me, Paul Henderson and Mick Lappin. You should have been in that team as I remember you being the most skillfull player at the school even in your black pumps in thick mud.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Dont Trev, you'll start me crying. We were so poor I had to un-screw the studs out of my boots to wear as shoes. I can't believe Neil Webster got in the team...he should have given me his boots. I used to walk to and from school with him everyday. Couldnt remember his name. He was a non-footballer round our way. He could tell you who produced every Rush album though.

Memories flooding back now.

Fisch - Admit it, you'd love a shirt in that wallpaper design.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was a ball boy at the reserve games in the '80s and Mr Eastwood was in charge of us. Proper nice bloke he was. Gave me a bit of a rollocking though when I kicked the ball back to the Villa keeper instead of throwing it to him.

TTTeesside_Trev Posted on 8/10 1:59
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

A few of those lads couldn't kick a ball to save their lives, we even had to use some of the 4th year lads when we couldn't get a full team out.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Trev - I agree mate. D'ya remember that lad Summersgill who arrived midway through 3rd year? He was a good player...dont think he's on that photo.

TTTeesside_Trev Posted on 8/10 2:02
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Yeah he was a great player but a bit of a naughty boy, and the naughty boys didn't get picked, thats why we were sh@t because everyone at Boynton was naughty

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Mark The boro Fan- Yeah Bob Eastwood was a great bloke, he even came to my leaving do 4 1/2 years ago before we moved to Brisbane. Back in the 70's he used to get Souness and Peter Creamer to come to Ayresome School and coach us, that was great.

marktheborofan Posted on 8/10 2:08
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Fair play to him, like I said, he was a genuine nice bloke. Those who didn't make it onto the side lines as ball boys got to sit with Bernie Slaven in the crowd who was a complets arrogant get. I once called him "Bernie" and he replied "the name is Bernard, I will not answer you if you call me Bernie again". What a cock.

Gillandi Posted on 8/10 2:10

Yeah Trev, thats just about the size of it.

Melons Of Boynton Beware eh? Remember that? The Mobb?

You were always in the naughty gang, but you were always the nice guy of the naughty gang. The one to say, "okay, he's had enough now."

I went to Sacred Heart school where we had Keith Houchen come to visit us not long after he had won his FA Cup medal. He was a nice bloke as well and he took our football training session after school that day. I then went to St Davids where the best they could get was a washed up Geoff Capes.

"The Mobb" hahaha that's very kind of you GillAndi. I was a very placid, quiet and nice kid until I went to Boynton, it was more like a borstal and you had to toughen up just to survive.
here's a cracking photo of me age 10-1974 check out the shirt and tank top hahaha great colour coordination

Gillandi- Don't you recognise the Pakistani lad on The Ayresome School photo??? Omar Usman he went to Boynton for our 1st 2 years then his dad put him in private school cos he was getting in to much trouble. He was hard as fook and had a moustache at the age of 12.

MollTeaser- I live in Brisbane now but as I said earlier he was at my Leaving party 4 1/2 years ago just before I emigrated. He's still a Top Bloke.

MFC 1967- Yeah I had a fight with Kev M from Kings Manor. The usual silly thing over a girl. Mind you she was a stunner Katie M. She broke my heart when she moved Scotland, young love eh???

MFC1967 Posted on 8/10 9:08

id never seen so many people watch a fight, about 3 other little fights broke out while u and kev were at it.

TTTeesside_Trev Posted on 8/10 10:45
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

I remember Kevs sister and her friend on my back while we were fighting and one of his mates craig trying to join in on me. that all started the other fights with my mates pulling them off. All a bit silly now when I look back but it's all part of growing up. I was nearly charged by the Police the next day at school, our headmaster said I'd fractured his skull, lying b****rd, he only had 3 stitches. Kev was more upset that he had to have some of his hair shaved off. No grudges and have spoke to Kev and Craig over the years since. Your right about the amount of people, I think half of Boynton and half of Kings manor schools where there.

I'm on the far left of the bottom row.

Trev, I recognised Phil Murray in the Ayresome team photo straight away, as you know his brother Billy was in my class at Ayresome and Mbro High.

I was at Ayresome well before Bob Eastwood joined. Our games master was Mr Jones, the only male teacher at the school apart from the headmaster Mr Brown. The extent of any school team games was playing Archibald School every week beacause we used the same pitches at West Lane.

South Stand Stud86- Say hello to your dad for me, we were best mates right through school but went our seperate ways after leaving School. Had a pint with him and M. Lappin in the Priory about 6 or 7 years ago. How's your uncle Billy??? I remember him coming home drunk about 30 ago through Ayresome gardens one night and a few young lads tried to mug him, he beat the crap out of them and then dragged them to the cop shop hahaha He was a great laugh was Bill. It is a small world, tell your dad I now live in Brisbane and one of our old mates Dicky only lives up the road from me

TTTeesside_Trev Posted on 11/10 23:50
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

SSS- I didn't say he was a lightweight, If you look I think it was GillAndi, and your dad and Benny were great goal scorers in the junior school. Even Bob Eastwood was expecting them to make it as footballers, but in the senior school they both lost interest in the footy in about 2nd or 3rd year, which was a pity.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Point made SSS....they were two great lads...didnt mean any disrespect to em as footballers...just a bit of bitterness on my part coz, like Trev said, I was one of the better players in our year but for various reasons couldnt play in the last couple of years.

I'm a bit surprised at 35 goals in a season mind. Didn think the whole team scored that many in 5 years.

Trev - I played against your sunday league team in a cup game up at Saltrsgill one midweek night early 90's d'ya remember? Micky Lappin was playing. Cant remember the name of your team but it had more than is fair share of pugulists among em. I think we might have had to let you win to save our necks.

southstandstud86 Posted on 12/10 0:08
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Gillandi Posted on 12/10 0:22
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

SSS - I'm not surprised he's forgotten. I'd forgotten till I saw Trevs pic. He's one I've not seen since 1980. We were never exactly big mates at school but we always got along - two neutral characters trying to survive day to day life at a tough old alma mater. I probably taught him the Cruyff turn at some point too.

Give him my regards. From the bloke who DIDN'T chit in the school baths. That might trigger his memory.

Trev - Do you remember that incident?

Btw - i'll be weighing in with some photo's once ive scanned some my that my aunties got.

TTTeesside_Trev Posted on 12/10 6:18
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

I don't think Gillandi got to see the best of Phil and Benny, as they played at ayresome school. SSS ask your dad if he remembers those epic games of footy in the Cemy (Ayresome gardens)with the big trees as goal posts. God GillAndi every game in that Sunday league was like a war and usually without a ref.

Oh yes I do remember the sh@t in the swimming pool hahahahaha, It was Barry Charville. I remember Mr Mosely the PE teacher trying to fish it out with a big net. it was like something from the Jaws film, everyone swimming for their lives hahaha. The headmaster interogated everyone as to who the culprit was, and everyone said it was the Pakistani kid, (Kids are horrible eh,) oh and one person said it was you because of your surname and got a clip round the ear for trying to be funny.

I can't wait to see your photo's

It's a wonderfull time to be an English gentleman in Australia at the moment. And what another great game against the Frogs. There'll be 2000 England fans packed into The Pig and Whistle Riverside Brisbane next Saturday night/Sunday morning for the final. KO here is 5am Sunday so we should be well tanked up by then. I remember that 5 a side comp and those silky kits hahaha. Jack Hatfields was the best sports shop ever, it always had a great smell to the place, and always felt special when you got something from there. good to see you're still playing, I stopped playing last year after badly injuring my ankle, but not before winning the The Victoria Point (brisbane) indoor 5 a side Futsal League and Cup, see attatched photo.

Trev- I lived in Athol street and most of the lads on that picture were mates of mine, Tony Green, Mick Lappin, Phil murray.I can't remember you from then but i think we played cricket together when we were about 14, at Marton cricket club.
I also went to Sacred Heart and remember the day we we decieded to attack Ayesome school. Not such a good idea on my part as most of my mates as i said went there.

RodosReds- I didn't play cricket at Marton CC, but I'll probably know you as I was always playing footy in Ayresome gardens with the above mentioned lads. Put an old school photo up for us to have a look at

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Bringing back a few memories this thread,Trev.I was two years above you at Boynton. I went out with Mick Lappin's sister, Chris for about a six months(ish) when I was 15.He was a strong tough little guy for his age-they were a good family.Used to turn up at the house armed with a few cans of beer from that off licence in Clifton street, who would sell anything to anyone!

I played for Boynton when we played in crew necked green shirts, until I had an animated discussion with Mosley about his tactics..

I'll try to dig some photos out- could be tricky as I've just moved.

Kev M lived round the corner from me-If your fight lasted longer than a few seconds with him, you must have been in a trance mate!

borolad259 Posted on 16/10 9:07
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Trev, it is indeed the 79 group. The only one that I'm certain went to Boynton was Steve Dawson (middle, back row). He's in Derbyshire now, and a boronut...so might well show up on here. It's his photo.

TTTeesside_Trev Posted on 16/10 12:47
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

BoroLad259- Great photo and a nice sunny day as well. Wanless, Riley and Dawson seem to ring a bell.

hicktonspenaltyrunup- Mick Lappin is a strong tough big bloke now hahaha, but a true gent. We still keep in touch even though I live in Brisbane, and we had a few cold one's together when I was in the Boro at Xmas. his sister Chris is a lovely woman, and they have always been like an extended family to me. You must remember Chesty Morgan then??? and my cousin Sue Gibson??? Chris's friends???
The off licence in Clifton street was actually owned by one of the Boynton teachers, I think his name was Mr Hienz a French teacher, he would sell us a few cans of beer, even when we were still at school, but he made us promise not to get drunk and start trouble hahaha.
Mr Mosely and who was the other PE Teacher??? Mr Rylander I think.
That famous fight? I think I've mentioned that for most of it I had at least 2 people on my back, everytime I got on top, prolonging it longer than need be.
I'm looking forward to seeing your School photo's.
Oh the good old days hahaha

I left Boynton in 74 Trev, I'll have to have a look in my mam and dad's loft for any pictures, she's given me the task of digitizing the whole family photo collection, so no doubt I'll get to them sooner or later.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Trev, dunno about Mark, but Paul Wanlass went to Kings Manor...a regular at the Rock Garden in the late 70s, I bumped into him again about 10 years ago in London. He was working with young offenders. A good solid lad...top 70s hairstyle in the photo too (he's between me and Steve D.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

My God, this is taking me back, Trev

Good to hear Mick and Chris are well.Liked Beryl the mum too.She was good to me when a later girlfriend was quite ill in the infirmary- as you know she worked there.
Your cousin Gibbo wasn't overly fond of me(!!), but yes I remember the Layton twins,Julie Bernstone who was a good friend of my family-some of the people reading this will remember big Tony, her brother, and the lovely Debbie H aka Chesty Morgan as you so succinctly put it.
Rylander was the other PE teacher- preferred Mr Pyrer from the year before. He was a(probably the only)fan of my defending!
Mosley was so far up his own backside he was practically inside out....

Piquet2 Posted on 16/10 14:27
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

I was a good mate of Tony Bernstone, he joined the navy if I remember right, he was about six foot six when he was 14

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Haven't seen him for a few years- as you said a real beanpole. He joined the Army later on and turned up, on leave from Germany, at my Dad's house with his old man unable to stand up or speak-having been out on the razz for a couple of days- Quality comedy.

Think he's doing okay.Had a good chinwag with his Dad a couple of years back, at my old man's funeral.

You're not 'Hamburger' are you Piquet??

Some side you were-I can even remember most of your names.

Saw a lot of Phil Linacre's disappearing no 11 shirt, when I played full back, and I was quick!

Which one were you then??

Trev- I must be getting old, I just had another look at that photo of you and realised who you are, We use to meet sometimes at the match when you were with mike lappin. He was working some where at Cannon park the last time I spoke with him, that was a long time ago. I left the UK years ago.

I haven't seen Naz since I bumped into him in Mandy's early 80's.
Moved away in '81 and haven't lived in the Boro since.

Like I said, you lot were some side- some of you should have achieved far more than you did, football wise.

My eldest (13) plays in a Derbyshire league, and he reminds me of Naz,he has the same aggression, but is a bit more prolific in front of goal-Here's hoping!

RedHert Posted on 16/10 21:13
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

By me calling you Sherlock it obviously did not click that you were correct! My boy is 13 and is proud to wear his boro gear in Hertfordshire, blessed with the same pace as me and is now a good goalie!

hicktonspenaltyrunup Posted on 16/10 21:21
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

It did click. mate- Your forename begins with S....

My 9 year old is a goalie too- Cabinet full of trophys from last season.Marvellous year for him last year. He played in a cup final in front of about 400 people at Matlock Town's ground- They lost, but it was their only loss last season.

Maybe they are all the same- all goalies are a bit alternative!!

hicktonspenaltyrunup Posted on 16/10 21:36
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

I doubt it- but we have met a coupla times when we were kids.Thing is, I've got a memory like an elephant, which has done me a bit of good at work and in life.

If you think about a right back at Boynton 73-75 who got skinned by Phil Lineacre, then you might know. But he skinned everyone, and I later turned into an okay striker, and played till I was nearly 40- and still help with the kids now.

Getting a bit like Rivals version of Friends Reunited this, isn't it?

BoroLad No relation, would I remember you?

Hickton, I'm sure if you were a Mandys regular early 80's I would recall with a little help.

I rember Jery H and Mike R from that team more so as we met in social groups when they were in 6th form with my mates MW and JB you may recall.

borolad259 Posted on 16/10 21:51
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Possibly. I used to go to boro swimming club with MW in earlier teen days, and later was at Boro Rugby club with MW and JB. You'd definitely know my old man if you were at Acklam 6th. Think clogs.

Again, last saw both of them before I went to Uni.

If Jb has the same name as a nutcase goalie who played for Southampton, Blackpool, QPR, Wolves,Aston Villa,Crystal Palace etc etc then I know who he is- but only as a kid.Big lad who got married to R from Boynton???

Don't think you will remember me SW, but Naz will.

Nah, redhert, you wouldn't. A year was a big gulf back then. I didn't play in that cup final. MW played hooker at that time I think. Also, our PE teacher (not Threadgill, the other one) used to play for Boro first team. I used to go along to barrack him like he barracked me at school. You'll remember Pickersgill though.

TTTeesside_Trev Posted on 17/10 0:06
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Piquet2- No M Lappin isn't related to the Lappin Builders. and can't wait to see your photo's

Hickton- Mick and Chris's mam Beryl was and still is a wonderful lady, she always makes a fuss of you.

rodosreds- Now then Cunno, I had a feeling it was you. Are you still working on the Cruise Liners and relieving all of those pensioners of their money in the Casino???? hahaha. What are you up to these days???

RedHert- Those photo's of Hustler are Class. I remember them playing in Black and White stipes, so I'm not surprised, you got some stick off the Holgate. The youngsters on here won't believe some of the kits and hairstyle's we had to endure hahaha. I remember Phil Linacre having the chance to go to Liverpool, but turned them down because of his girlfriend (fool) he was a great player and his brothers weren't bad either, all great lads ( no big heads). I played with a few of them years later in the Pub leagues, when we were all past our sell by dates.

Does anyone remember Scally (Hollaway) from Boynton? He left in 1979, now he was another great player, but couldn't get into the school team after 2nd year, because he was in the naughty gang. His older brother was a great player as well (I think Martin Hollaway). I think he was about the same age as Phil Linacre.

Boyntons policy of not letting the naughty kids in their teams meant that we always had crap teams. Some of those kids could have made it as footballers given half a chance. It was the only thing they were good at. Plus 90% of Boynton boys were naughty, it was like a Borstall at times. With a fair few lads ending up in one.

This thread is becoming really funny

Coffdrop - that photo of the High School footy team brings back some memories!
I was in the year below you lot - Chunky Parnaby is one of the faces I recognise
Funnily enough I must have been in the year below you at Ayresome.
Mr Jones eh! (Remember Battleaxe Pickering!) I played in goal for Ayresome juniors for a couple of years - alongside John Linacre (went on to play for Hartlepool) We were luckier than you 'cos we played against plenty of other schools - Fleetham Street, Newport, Green Lane, Sacred Heart (hissss!), Archibald, Kader Close, Marton Grove etc.
Billy Murray - pub quiz guru nowaday I hear, see his sister Christine some weekends when I down Linthorpe shops.

Erimus11- I used to have a crush on Christine Murray, when I used to knock about with her younger brother Phil. I remember Mrs Pickering I think she ritired when I was in 1st year, juniors. Mrs Carswell was my teacher in 2nd year and she was a stunner and always wore mini skirts and low cut tops. when ever she was helping someone with their work she would bend over, revealing her skimpy red knickers, or if you were in front of her you would get a good eyefull of her ample breasts (I'm getting a semi on just thinking about it) "WOW" I think I had a crush on her as well.

Mrs Bates and Mrs Featonby were both battle axes as well. Mrs Featonby had the hairiest legs I have ever seen, and that includes monkeys. Trev- I'm now living and working in Greece, and yes still relieving pensioners of their life savings. It brings back a lot of memories reading these messages. There was something I wanted to ask you about an old girl friend of yours and her sister but I'm not sure if you married her or not.

Erimus11: Are you Aldo by any chance?

Oh I certainly remember Mrs Pickering, everyone was terrified of being in her class until they got there. She wasn't as bad as everyone made out, but if you got on the wrong side of her, yo soon knew about it. I thought Mrs Harker was worse, she had a nasty streak in her. I believe Bill Murray has written and published a few quiz books.

If you were in the year below me you'll probably remember Alan Blair who lived in Brompton St, what about Howard Clough was in in your year, He was Brian Clough's nephew if I remember rightly.

Do you remember Malcolm Revell (Togs), Syko, Gogs, Bear Walsh? They were all in my year at Ayresome. Gogs went on to Stainsby rather than the High School. He was the only lad in our class who didn't get into Middlesbrough High.

Trev: Mrs Featonby and Mrs Stage, I remember them both. The starnge thing was Mrs Featonby's daughter was in our and her class. We all felt sorry for her having a mother as her teacher.

You might recognise one or two.

Those games at Barny's rec were great, I remember all those names and played with/against you and them every night and weekend. You missed out John 'Gogs' Swales. The council ruined the footie games for kids when they 'landscaped' the rec. :D

Do you remember the guy who turned up every night with calipers on both legs and played on crutches?

I wasn't very good at footie in those early years, I got better in the High School lunch time games, improved a lot from 2nd year onwards when I started taking a bigger interest.

Oh and I was 'Harry' you won't recognise me in the photo as I didn't have my glasses on. Everyone had the Bloody Joe90 style glasses in those days.

I was 7. left to right Peter Fitzgerald (moved to South Africa just after this pic was taken) Me, Cristopher Biggins (Sacred Heart) had a younger brother Mark who was nicknamed georgie, after is hero George Best, and Anthony O'conner (Sacred Heart) Millsy.

I knew Mark(George) Biggins well as a lad- his folk's garden was back to back with ours. He was some player.
I remember that FA cup run that Woking had some years ago, when they beat West Brom- Tim Buzaglo was the two (or three) goal hero.
My man of the match was our very own George. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw him on MOTD.

He should have made it as a pro IMO.

Did she move from Fleetham to Ayresome- not much of a relocation package there then!
Initially ferocious lady who stood for no nonsense, but had a heart of gold.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Played endless games of footie with Chris and Mark Biggins in the back ally behind our house in the 60's.

hicktonspenaltyrunup: The Biggins didn't have a back garden when I knew them, they had a back yard. What year was this? :D

Mrs Pickering was certainly still at Ayresome in 1966 when I left to go to the High School. She may well have moved on to Fleetham street in later years.

Coffdrop- they moved to Linthorpe early to mid 70's I think. I knew George from '76 on.

You mean further into leafier Linthorpe than Clive Road?

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Yup-Try two roads down from the Little Theatre, towards Emerson Avenue.

He was a good lad, Mark (George) My old man got on well with his folks, over the garden fence.

"Georgie" Biggins there's a blast from the past! I was good mates with Mark when he was at Sacred Heart and I was at Linthorpe. Used to love the games on Barny's rec which is where we probably firt met, the games continued through Hustler and St Micks but then lost touch. It was great to see him on match of the day, well remembered Hickton!

When I first met him-invariably through a kickabout- he introduced himself as George. It was about a year later I realised he was called Mark..

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

LOL

Even his brother called him George when he was knee high to a grasshopper, IIRC he wouldn't respond to any other name for a time.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Imagine a kid these days changing his name to Beckham or whoever his favourite player is and it sticking for a decade or more. He'd get the crap kicked out of him. I remember seeing Georgie on match of the day against West Brom, and remembered playing footy with him in the back alley's and the Rec etc, and thinking those were the days (sounding old or what)

I remember when I was 1st allowed to go over to Albert Park (about 5) with the big lads and play footy (I was always put in goal cos I was the youngest) One Sunday when I was 8 one lad about 16 year old hit a rocket shot and I made the save of the season, breaking my arm in the process. I tried my best not to cry but the tears had other ideas, fook it hurt. Everyone thought I was Gorden Banks hahaha. Nobody laughed at me crying and they all looked after me and got me home safe. Great friends.

A couple of other names that come to mind from albert Park are Tiny, Mick Tyreman, Paul Cokely.

There was a good footy player about your age Coff Drop who lived in Bush Street, but I can't remember his name. I think he made it into The Northern league teams.

A little bit off the subject but here's a photo of The England Fans in The Pig and Whistle Brisbane, singing the National Anthem before The Rugby World Cup Final. It was a great atmosphere, with about 400 English and 200 South Africans manageing to stay awake and sober enough till the 5am Kick Off

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

The only person I can remember from Bush St was Keith Elliot, but he wasn't into football and IIRC he moved when we were in the juniors.

How times have changed.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

TeeBag- There are loads of Brits in the Brisbane area, and we get on great with the Aussies, because most Brits integrate and live by the Aussie laws and way of life. But there are a few who moan all the time about how we do things different in Britain, hence the whinging Pom tag, and believe me there are some right whinging Poms, and I have actually said to some of them "If you don't like it here go back" it's a pretty easy choice??? The Aussies all prefer the Brits to some other nationalities who don't and won't integrate. Until we beat them at something hahaha

Coff Drop- The lad from bush street used to live about 2 or 3 doors down from Kensington Road end? I think his name might have been Chris Lynn? but not 100% sure. he was a cracking footballer, and even in his late 30's early 40's Pub teams would pay him to play for them.

Yeah how times have changed we could play out all day, only coming home when we were hungry, even then we would stay out if we found a house with an apple tree.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Trev: The name Chris Lynn doesn't ring any bells, but there was a lad that occasionally joined in the back alley footie from Bush Street who lived somewhere around where you describe. He was a bit younger than me and I don't remember him being any good.

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

I know Chrissie Lynn, went to Boynton with him, often used to see and chat with him in the East Stand at the RS.He was a decent footballer, do you know Keith Ludley?

re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

Two names that spring to mind who haven't been mentioned were Titch (is he the same person as Tiny) and also Popeye who were part of a group who played on the Albert park first green every weekend. I didn't know them that well and they were a fair bit older than me, I think they probably went to Sacred Hart.

RedHert Posted on 24/10 12:14
re: Old School Photo's hahahahaha

I remember the name Popeye, those days were great when you could just turn up at Albert Park, Barny's or for me Westbourne Rd Park. Mother did'nt have a clue where we were but new we were playing footie or cricket and would come back when hungry covered in mud!
