For those who can't be arsed to type in the link, the third one is a '72 Tele Custom Re-issue. I dunno, it depends what you want to do with it. The Epiphone and the Tele are probably the most flexible but the Gretsch has the advantage of having a real rumbly hollow body "twangy" tone and a whammy bar. Particularly good for a more retro sound. I know a guy with an original Epiphone and it does both rock and blues really well. Plus its the model John Lennon had before he stripped all the paint of, and the same guitar McCartney played the solo of "Taxman" on. So, as they are all far East re-issues, the re-sale on that will probably be the best given its associations. The Tele, in the wake of Franz, is being used by the world and his wife. Obviously its the only solid body. It has the classic Tele tone at the bridge but a Humbucker in the neck for rocking out-it was originally intended to compete with the Les Paul and Keith Richards used one around '74. Get yourself to a decent guitar shop and try all three to see which one is "you".

I love the 335 style me. Gretsch Falcon, or maybe a Country Gentleman. Mind you I'd have to win Euromillions tonight like. --- Post edited by ElvisRamone on 12/10 8:51 ---

If you want to save some money you can get the Danelectro '59 reissue for £169 of GAK. Their shithot aswell. Mine's in the post. Just aswell really because i've just had 3 guitars of mine stolen out of my house last night.

Of course a far east re-issue is'nt going to have quite as much about it as a '65 USA Epiphone! All I was saying is thats what its a copy of, as they point out in their advertising bumph. Saying that I've played a '62 Casino and I've played one of the new re-issues and though the original is obviously a superior instrument the reissue was a nice guitar with plenty of bollox.

Here is the Fender £20 cheaper. This is a good shop and they will get one of their techs to set it up and do a thorough QC inspection.

I've got a Gretsch Black Falcon - bigsby stays in perfect tune. You can get it out the case after a week of none playing and its perfect. So go for the Gretsch mate!
